© Nikolaus Similache EIN PAAR, WIE AUS DEM FILMNina Proll wurde bereits in eine künstlerische Familie hineingeboren, sie zeigte schon in jungen Jahren Interesse an der Schauspielerei, studierte am Konservatorium der Stadt Wien und konnte mit 18 Jahren ihr Debüt feiern. Bereits im Jahr 1999 lernte sie ihren Liebsten, den Bruder von Tobias Moretti bei einem „Tatort“-Dreh kennen. Doch die Schwärmerei war vorerst einseitig, denn Bloéb war damals noch vergeben. „Richtig gefunkt hat es erst Jahre später“, so Proll, die 1995 durch die Gesellschaftskomödie “Das Kapital” von Xaver Schwarzenberger erstmals Bekanntheit erlangte.
Bei Gregor Bloéb war es ähnlich: Er entdeckte seine Leidenschaft für die Schauspielerei schon früh, studierte an einer Wiener Schauspielschule und konnte sich bald auf der Bühne wie vor der Kamera einen Namen machen; Spätestens seit er Ende der 80er-Jahre den Hotelierssohn Stefan Wechselberger in Felix Mitterers kultiger “Piefke Saga” spielte, ist er einem breiten Publikum bekannt.
Mit seiner Frau oder auch mit seinem Bruder Tobias Moretti zu drehen, mache für ihn nicht viel Unterschied als mit anderen Kolleginnen oder Kollegen. “Ab einer gewissen Qualität ist das egal. Es ist mir ja auch egal, ob ich mit einem Kollegen spiele, den ich mag oder nicht. Wir sind Profis – es muss einfach funktionieren“, so Bloéb.
Kürzlich avancierte er zum künstlerischen Leiter der Tiroler Volksschauspiele in Telfs. Sein Ziel: Wieder der Uridee näher kommen -nämlich exemplarisches Volkstheater mit besonderen Tiroler Schauspielern. Das freut auch die Wahltirolerin Proll sehr, denn die Schönheit der Region, die malerischen Berglandschaften und die kulturelle Vielfalt inspirieren auch sie immer wieder aufs Neue.
„Job bedeutet ja meistens Reise. Umso mehr freue ich mich, wenn wir die Gelegenheit haben, hier zu arbeiten“, so Proll und merkt augenzwinkernd an:
„Ohne ihn wäre ich nicht da. Ich hätte mir nie gedacht, dass ich eines Tages in Tirol landen werde, aber jetzt bin ich sehr froh.“ n

A couple straight out of the movies
Nina Proll and Gregor Bloéb, one a Tyrolean by choice, the other a native of Innsbruck, share both a love of the stage and their love for each other.
Nina Proll was born into an artistic family, and was interested in acting from an early age. She studied at the Vienna Conservatory and made her acting debut at the age of 18. She first met the man in her life, brother of Tobias Moretti, while shooting an episode of Tatort back in 1999. But at the time, things didn’t go further than a one-sided crush, since Bloéb was already spoken for. “It wasn’t until years later that things really clicked,” says Proll, who gained initial fame in 1995 thanks to Xaver Schwarzenberger’s social comedy Das Kapital.
For Gregor Bloéb things were much the same: He discovered his passion for acting very early on, studied at a Viennese drama school, and was soon able to make a name for himself on stage as well as in front of the camera. Since playing the hotelier’s son Stefan Wechselberger in Felix Mitterer’s cult series Piefke Saga at the end of the 1980s, he has become familiar to an even broader audience.
For Bloéb, it doesn’t make much difference whether he’s working
with his wife, with his brother Tobias Moretti, or with any of his other acting colleagues. “Once a certain level of quality is hit, it doesn’t matter. After all, it also doesn’t matter whether I particularly like the actor I’m working with. We’re all professionals – we make it work,” explains Bloéb.
Just recently Bloéb was promoted to the position of artistic director of the Tiroler Volksschauspiele in Telfs. His ambition: to move closer to the original idea of creating outstanding folk theater with exceptional Tyrolean actors. Proll, who has chosen Tyrol as her home, is also very happy about this new development, as the region’s beauty, picturesque mountain scenery, and cultural diversity never cease to inspire her.
“After all, work usually means travel. So I’m all the more pleased that we have the opportunity to work here,” says Proll, noting with a wink, “I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him. I never would have imagined that one day I would land in Tyrol, but here I am and I’m very happy about it now.” n

One of Austria’s oldest and richest-in-tradition wine estates will celebrate its 850th vintage with the 2020 harvest. The history of Schloss Gobelsburg is closely interwoven with that of the Cistercian Order, which spread from Burgundy throughout all of Europe and arrived at the Danube in the twelfth century. In the year 1171, the monks of Zwettl Abbey obtained a farmyard at the foot of the famous vineyard Ried HEILIGENSTEIN near Langenlois. That year saw the cornerstone laid for a tradition that would then grow and flourish over hundreds of years.
The Renaissance chateau with its baroque accretions nestles picturesquely into the gentle terraced vineyards of the Danube River Valley. When travelling from Vienna and coming upon the first vineyards at Fels am Wagram, the attentive visitor will notice hilly landscapes moulded from a soil called loess, in which the flagship grape variety of Austria –Grüner Veltliner – is cultivated predominantly. Approaching the estate, the impressive terraced vineyards of Ried HEILIGENSTEIN arise on the right, its expression best characterised by the Riesling that grows there. Historians are keenly aware of the significance of this vineyard site, which is not only unique in Europe for its geologic makeup, but also occupies a historically pre-eminent position in Austria’s viticultural landscape.
Arriving at Gobelsburg, visitors are immediately aware of the eye-catching ensemble constellation, which reaches back through history to pre-Celtic habitation some 4,000 years ago. Entering the inner courtyard, one is immediately embraced by a sense of security. A sundial shows that even in modern times, the Cistercian leitmotif of ‘simplicity & strictness’ most definitely retains its relevance. The door to the wine cellar creaks open, and automatically upon entering one breathes the characteristic & familiar cellar aroma that remains so difficult to describe. The visitor proceeds
onward through corridors hundreds of years old, past wine in barrels & bottles, until arriving at the core of the cellar facilities – a cloister whose centre serves as a fountain of light, air and water.
Michael Moosbrugger, who took over management of this traditional house in 1996, tells us that the monastic ways still exert their influence on operational matters today. Not only that folks celebrate the yield of the harvest together after picking, and feast on the traditional Sankt Martin’s Day goose, but also that the spirit of the Cistercians remains an important influence on many decisions. And at the wine tasting in these historic chambers, one begins by becoming acquainted with the classic wines of the Danube Valley – Gebietswein (regional wine), Ortswein (village wine) and Riedenwein (harvested from individual vineyards) serve as points of focus for the estate.
There is also a series of specialties that demands attention as well. The fine red wines of the Pinot family, or the sweet wines – but their classy sparkling wines (Sekt) are now also numbered among the best that Austria has to offer. And then the subject ‘Maturity in Wine’ receives special attention in the line of wines known as TRADITION.
