BJP, in wake of the acquittal order, blamed the Congress govt for weak lobbying in the case

Jaipur: Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rajendra

Rathore on Saturday met 2008 Jaipur serial bomb blast victims at their residence to express solidarity with them following the acquittal of all accused in the case.

The blasts had claimed 71 lives and injured 185 others.

BJP in the wake of the acquittal order

blamed the Congress government for weak lobbying in the case.

“We have met family members of blast victims. We will make a special package for them if BJP comes to power and will try for their rehabilitation,” Rathore told reporters here.

Asked whether BJP will take up the matter in the Supreme Court, Rathore said the party has made a strategy and talks on it are on.

RAJENDRA RATHORE MAY CONTEST ELECTIONS FROM CIVIL LINES!

Jaipur: Former state president Arun Chaturvedi, while addressing the media at the BJP state office, said that the Congress government has been insensitive towards the Jaipur bomb blast incident.

“It is the duty of the state government that they should appeal. But if we victims appeal to us, then we too will knock on the doors of the Supreme Court and hire top lawyers,” he said.

Rajasthan High Court had on March 29 acquitted four accused who were sentenced to death by a special court in 2019. The high court also pulled up the probe agency for poor investigation.

Jaipur: After Rajendra Rathore was elevated to the post of leader of the opposition, speculations are rife that he may contest the assembly elections from the Civil Lines constituency of Jaipur. Political circles are abuzz with speculations. A faction of the constituency recently met Rathore and suggested he contest the next election from civil lines. Significantly, Rathore lives in the civil lines area. His residence is barely 500 meters from the residence of civil lines MLA and food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas.

“On April 12, the BJP along with the families of the victims will gather at the Ramlila Maidan to protest against the Congress government for acquitting the blast convicts. A candle march will be taken out up to Hanuman Mandir Sanganeri Gate, the blast site. On behalf of the victims’ family, the work of filing SLP has started in the Supreme Court and soon a petition will be filed.

Beniwal puts up show of political strength from Jaipur to Delhi FELICITATION!

Jaipur: Ahead of the elections, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) convenor and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal has given clear indication that he is eying at least 35 assemblies and 5 lok sabha seats and will go for alliance with any party on the basis of this target.

He has put up a show of political strength from Jaipur to Delhi and made it clear that he will maintain the party and symbol of

‘Bottle’, and his target is 35 assembly and 5 Lok Sabha seats.

A Jat leader Beniwal is considering making farmers’ politics his centre in the state. A considerable Jat bank behind him is likely to disturb equations for Congress. At the same time, BJP is working on a strategy to keep him aligned with the party.

Chaturvedi said that punishing the culprits was not the priority of the state Congress government. BJP State President CP Joshi and Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore met the victims’ families and expressed condolences.

Chaturvedi said that even after 12 days, no concrete step has been

taken by the Rajasthan government to punish the culprits. He said that the case was not transferred to the NIA. He said that during the fouryear rule of the Congress government, organizations like PFI, which had links with terrorists, organized rallies with the permission of the govt.

Jaipur: A day after a dalit woman was raped and set abaze in Barmer, food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Saturday said that people who carry out such crime are mentally deranged and dangerous for the society.

Former deputy CM Sachin Pilot said that strict punishment should be given to criminals like these. At the same time, the minister targeted BJP over statements regarding the incident and said that BJP has no issue to raise and creating an atmosphere of hate in the country in order to garner votes.

On BJP leaders visiting the families of Jaipur blast victims in Jaipur, Khachariyawas said that the BJP is guilt conscious and wants to incite riots to win elections.

BJP State President CP Joshi said she died due to the negligence of the govt as the victim did not get proper treatment. “Such incidents day by day shows that women are not safe in Rajasthan. There was no blood unit in Balotra, so why was the woman not immediately referred to Jodhpur.. If anyone is responsible for the death of the woman, it is the Congress govt,” he said.

Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore blamed Gehlot for the “poor” law and order situation in the state. “The gruesome incident in which a married woman was raped and burnt alive is “a blot on the government”, he said. Union Jal Shakti Minister and Jodhpur MP Gajendra S Shekhawat alleged the woman died due to a delay in treatment. Deputy LoP Satish Poonia also held the govt responsible the woman’s death. MP Diya Kumari said that the barbarous act is a blot on the image of the entire State.

The case of a Dalit woman being raped and burnt to death with acid in Balotra has once again made it clear that no one is safe in Rajasthan anymore. Dalits and women certainly not. Suppressing this episode which shames humanity for a single day clarifies the condemnable and insensitive attitude of the Rajasthan Government. Strictest action should be taken against the culprits ASAP.

STEERING THROUGH CORPORATE DISRUPTIONS

My experience in the corporate world has exposed me to a realization that businesses go through a lot of upheavals due to internal and external factors that may be detrimental to the growth of businesses such as new competitors, new market trends, ever changing technology and economic fluctuations. And this is what I will term as business disruption. This disruption usually occurs whenever a radical change is introduced in the echo system of an industry due to the factors beyond the control of the senior executives.

It is clear from the experience of past two decades of rapid business changes, that even established business houses collapse and crumble if their leaders fail in being a visionary, strong character person and poses the required traits to lead their organisation when a crisis knocks at their door. The three cardinal principles to keep our heads above water are leadership, Company culture & customers

Seeing the current time disturbances caused in almost all types of industries, it will be prudent to conclude that disruptions are now a part of everyday business environment, where it has great potential to distract corporate leaders away from their core business. The disruption term has gone too broad to includes a variety of sudden changes in economics, politics, Brexit, trade wars, and presidential tweets. The emergence of globalisation with its interconnectivity through social media has aided the increased speed and sharing of information that forms the back bone of this modern age disruption.

In a KPMG report, titled “decoding disruption” it was noted that business leaders are now under constant pressure to understand and adapt to ongoing change, where avoiding change may no longer be an option.

In my opinion, there are more than one element and incident

MY EXPERIENCE IN THE CORPORATE WORLD HAS EXPOSED ME TO A REALIZATION THAT BUSINESSES GO THROUGH A LOT OF UPHEAVALS

DUE TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTORS THAT MAY BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE GROWTH OF BUSINESSES SUCH AS NEW COMPETITORS, NEW MARKET TRENDS, EVER CHANGING TECHNOLOGY AND ECONOMIC FLUCTUATIONS

that can ruin a business. But the truth is, it is difficult to predict when, in what shape and with what magnitude a business disruption will occur. Yet, if we believe various global surveys conducted recently, we can reach a consensus on the five top disruptors and these are startups, epidemics. Client expectations, market forces and calamities. Therefore, creating a strategy to deal with disruptions asks for a down to earth simple ac-

tion plan to lead the company from where it stands now to where it is supposed to reach as per planned time lines. This actionable strategy obviously will make every company disruption ready.

So, the question arises, what is the cause of business disruption? It is observed that markets which are disruption prone are generally those that include a large and an inflexible procedure of businesses. Such com-

panies have dominated markets and have been in existence for decades and therefore, they develop a feeling of invincibility. This very omission of reality renders them vulnerable to disruption by the startups that are willing to give more value to customers.

Another route to tackle disruption is mindful scaling of the company. Prior to selecting any fresh investment in technology, software, infrastructure, or production line, do a crystal gage about what all process are needed to be gone through. It may well be equally segacious to weigh other factors like how can client relationships be activated in new areas? Consider if any changes are needed in your marketing strategy as well. If your numbers are stagnant, think of experimenting with new methods of reaching the stake holders.

DON’T BET WITH ChatGPT – STUDY SHOWS LANGUAGE AIs OFTEN MAKE IRRATIONAL DECISIONS

he past few years have seen an explosion of progress in large language model artificial intelligence systems that can do things like write poetry, conduct humanlike conversations and pass medical school exams. This progress has yielded models like ChatGPT that could have major social and economic ramifications ranging from job displacements and increased misinformation to massive productivity boosts.

Despite their impressive abilities, large language models don’t actually think. They tend to make elementary mistakes and even make things up. However, because they generate fluent language, people tend to respond to them as though they do think. This has led researchers to study the models’ “cognitive” abilities and biases, work that has grown in importance now that large language models are widely accessible.

WORDS AND THOUGHTS

Inspired by the growing body of research in BERTology and related fields like cognitive science, my student Zhisheng Tang and I set out to answer a

seemingly simple question about large language models: Are they rational?

MAKING A BET

So are language models rational? Can they understand expected gain? We conducted a detailed set of experiments to show that, in their original

form, models like BERT behave randomly when presented with betlike choices. This is the case even when we give it a trick question like: If you toss a coin and it comes up heads, you win a diamond; if it comes up tails, you lose a car. Which would you take? The correct answer is heads,

While you’re checking on all the above, have a re look at how the interests of existing customers are taken care of. Obviously, thinking of this magnitude deserves a well worked out business map, a matured vision and real goal-setting alongside precision decision-making skills. Only if the above conditions are satisfied, mindful scaling becomes a success and disruptions a forgotten failure. In the race to remain a few steps ahead of all disruptions, senior managers have to consider three questions. firstly, what types of innovation are truly disruptive? Secondly, is low cost the only basis for upending established business models? And lastly, is it only outside forces that are culpable of disruptions? Academicians may disagree about how practice fits theory when the influence and devastation of disruption is discussed, but business leaders across sectors need to be keenly aware that established models are under a continuous threat from technology oriented disruptions. Therefore, in my personal opinion, self-created disruptions in our policies, procedures and market evaluation may keep us ahead of competitors.

We must remember that adapting to disruption requires a management outlook that embraces rather than resists. It is clear from the experience of past two decades of rapid business changes, that even established business houses collapse and crumble if their leaders fail in being a visionary, strong character person and poses the required traits to lead their organisation when a crisis knocks at their door. The three cardinal principles to keep our heads above water are leadership, Company culture & customers.

RIGHT DECISION

This line of study is important because rational decisionmaking under conditions of uncertainty is critical to building systems that understand costs and benefits. By balanc-

ing expected costs and benefits, an intelligent system might have been able to do better than humans at planning around the supply chain disruptions the world experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic, managing inventory or serving as a financial adviser.

The 1,36,295 sq m terminal has been developed at a cost of `1,260 crore

Chennai (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Integrated Terminal Building (Phase-1) of Chennai International Airport on Saturday.

PM Modi was on a visit here to inaugurate several development projects. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were present during the ceremony.

The state-of-the-art terminal — spread across an area of 1,36,295 sq m — which will increase the passenger serving capacity from 23 million passengers per annum (MPPA) to 30 MPPA — and will be an important addition to the city’s infrastructure.

Besides boosting connectivity, it is also expected to benefit the local economy.

Among the unique features of the terminal is Skylight. This feature allows natural light to be harvested for illuminating the space inside the building.

Chennai (PTI): Fresh after a barrage of attacks against political rival and Telangana state leadership, PM Narendra Modi landed in Chennai on Saturday to what seemed like calmer waters. Modi shared the warmth of CM MK Stalin who briefly held the PM’s hand and patted the back of the latter’s palm while walking through the displays exhibited at new Chennai airport terminal. Earlier, Telangana CM K Chandrashekhara Rao did not attend PM Modi’s event in Hyderabad.

Nagpur (ANI): Responding to NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s remarks on the report by US short-seller Hindenburg Research against the Adani Group, the Congress on Saturday said while the senior Opposition leader may hold a divergent view, the issue was grave in nature. The statement comes after Pawar’s explosive claim on the Hindenburg report, saying there are more important issues such as price rise and farmers’ issues that the Opposition should raise instead of giving undue importance to the report by the US short-seller. New Delhi: The Congress has said the Supreme Court committee to look into the Hindenburg research report on Adani group has limited terms of reference and “cannot bring out the deep nexus between” the prime minister and the billionaire businessman. Wildlife flourishing under Modi govt like never before

New Delhi (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA) on Sunday, government sources said on Saturday. IBCA will focus on the protection and conservation of seven major big cats of the world — Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Puma, Jaguar and Cheetah. The launch of the alliance follows the clari-

on call given by PM Modi in July 2019, calling for an alliance of global leaders to curb poaching and illegal wildlife trade in Asia.

PM’s strong belief and vision to save wildlife and crack down on poachers have translated into action by the Centre in this direction. Wideranging efforts in this direction have positively impacted India’s wildlife. Since 2014, there has

been an increase in the population of big cats in India, with the tiger

count increasing by 33% from 2,226 in 2014 to 2,967 in 2018.

The latest figures on tiger population will be released by PM Modi on April 9. Strong conservation management and robust protection have also resulted in a 29% increase in the population of lions in Gujarat’s Gir forest (674 in 2020, up from 523 in 2015).

The widely distributed Leopard population has seen an increase of about 63% (from 7910 in 2014 to 12,852 in 2018).

Driven by PM’s vision, India achieved world’s first-ever, wildto-wild transcontinental translocation of a big cat (Cheetah) in 2022, in a bid to revive the species in India years after its extinction. A key aspect of the government’s effort is to positively impact the wildlife population through conservation efforts. A parallel aspect is a crackdown on poaching.

WHO WILL BECOME THE NEXT CHIEF MINISTER OF KARNATAKA?

With Karnataka assembly elections still more than a month away, several opinion polls in the state have raised hopes of the Congress. Perhaps this is the reason why the tussle between the two contenders for the post of CM from the Congress, ie former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Committee chief DK Shivakumar is clearly visible. Recently, Siddaramaiah openly told his mind to a news channel and said, “Anybody has the right to dream of becoming the Chief Minister. I also dream of becoming the CM. If you want to become CM, then what is wrong in it. But the Chief Minister will be the one whom the MLAs

will choose.” But the channel ran the news that ‘the CM of Karnataka will be the one whom the high command will want.’ Siddaramaiah was incensed and demanded an apology from the channel. The BJP is keeping an eye on this whole scenario and the saffron party is hopeful that it will get the benefit of the mutual fight between the two Congress heavyweights. Anyway, BJP has increased the reserved quota for Vokkaligas from 4 to 6 percent and for Lingayats from 5 to 7 percent under OBC reservation. Playing a big election bet, BJP feels that this is their ‘master stroke’ and has the potential to turn the tide in this election.

WHAT DOES ASTROLOGER PANDIT SHARMA SAY ABOUT DK AND SIDDA?

While the tussle between DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah is heating up in Karnataka, Pandit Raj Kumar Sharma, a renowned astrologer from Mumbai, who has made many accurate political predictions in the past, has compared the horoscopes of both the contenders and said, “Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah was born on 3 August 1947. His zodiac sign is Aquarius, Nakshatra Ghanishtha, Lagna Scorpio. His mahadasha of Ketu is going on since 2020. Ketu is sitting in the sign of Mars of Siddaramaiah, this yog makes him an adept politician, but because of this yog, his chair was snatched last time. The Ketu Mahadasha is to last till 2027. Because of this, a duality is being created in his horoscope, it may be that he will have to struggle a lot to get the CM’s chair. On the other hand, DK Shivakumar, who was born on May 15, 1961, has Taurus zodiac sign and Kritika Nakshatra, Shani Mahadasha is going on in his horoscope since 2015. That is why till now, he has been playing the role of kingmaker from behind the scenes. Because of this he also had to go to jail.

THIS IAS WILL BECOME DAUGHTER-INLAW OF THE BHAJAN LAL FAMILY

P ari Bishnoi is a young IAS offi cer from Rajasthan. She was selected for civil service in 2020, and now she is the SDM of Gangtok. Recently, Pari’s role, in the rescue operation of a huge avalanche in Gangtok, in which many tourists lost their lives, was highly appreciated. Very soon Pari is going to be married to Bhajan Lal’s grandson and Kuldeep Bishnoi’s son Bhavya Bishnoi. Bhavya is also the MLA of Adampur. But the Bishnoi family has come under the target of trollers these days. In fact, Kuldeep Bishnoi confi rmed the news by tweeting that he has engaged his younger son Chaitanya to Srishti Arora. Bishnoi community is not liking this act of his as the community wants Kuldeep to marry both his sons to girls from Bishnoi community only.

We are silent workers who aim for world’s well-being, therefore, we need a strengthened ‘Sangh shakti’: Bhagwat to RSS workers

First India Bureau

Jaipur: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday urged its workers to carry out social service without looking for fame or indulging in hyperbole and emphasised the importance of staying organised.

“An organised force always emerges victorious. We are the silent workers who aim for the world’s well-being and, therefore, we need a strengthened ‘Sangh shakti’,” he said while addressing the representatives of Sewa Bharti from across the country on the second day of Seva Sangam at Keshav Vidyapeeth in Jamdoli here.

WILL THE OLD PENSION SCHEME BE RESTORED?

These days the demand for restoration of ‘Old Pension Scheme’ (OPS) has gained momentum.

Till now the BJP was showing opposition to this as the party believed that ‘the economic condition of the states will deteriorate due to the restoration of the old pension scheme.’

But in view of the impending Karnataka elections, now the central government has also started saying that ‘it will review the new pension scheme.’

Actually, ‘OPS’ is the pension scheme of the Central Government under which monthly pension is provided to the beneficiaries till the end of their life.

This pension amount is equal to half of the last pay of that retired person.

On the other hand, under the new pension scheme ie ‘NPS’, the beneficiary can withdraw only 60 per cent of his investment amount on the retirement.

Without strength, no one accepts or sees the good work being done.

CM OK’s `463 cr to strengthen micro irrigation system in State

First India Bureau

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a proposal of about Rs 463 crore for the work of diggi, farm pond and irrigation pipeline to strengthen the micro irrigation system in the State.

This approval has been given under the Rajasthan Micro Irrigation Scheme.

This is the nature of the world, he said and added that “while protecting religion will make the nation attain ultimate glory”.

“We have to work for a better world. This is why a large group of workers is needed,” he said, urging Sangh members to practice selfless service.

Bhagwat said that

Sangh inspired its workers to carry out social service and this led to the birth of Sewa Bharti.

“We don’t have to raise slogans or want others to do so in our praise. We have to follow what has been agreed to and work for its success even when there are personal disagreements.,” he said.

The Rashtriya Sewa Bharti is a not-for-profit organisation that follows the ideological pursuit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “We should stay away from seeking fame. If you do social service you will be popular but you should not pay attention to it. Your ego should not be a hurdle...You need to be humble, not aggressive if you want to work for public welfare.. Indulging in hyperbole will not do,” Bhagwat said. “We are not doing anything great, we are only fulfilling our responsibility to society.... this should be the underlining emotion,” he said. Thousands of representatives are participating in this three-day Sangam of Seva Bharti.

o you remember Durga Shakti Nagpal? Durga Shakti, who took on Akhilesh Yadav and the Dabang Yadav family of UP, has now become the DM of Banda after 13 years. By the way, those who clear IAS become DM in the fourth-fifth year of their service. But Durga Shakti Nagpal’s is different. She grabbed media headlines as soon as she entered civil service, but this time Durga Shakti is in discussion not because of herself but because of her IAS husband Abhishek Singh. This is the same Abhishek Singh, when he was on duty in the last election, he had put a big sticker on his car with his photo written ‘Election Observer’, and he himself had posted this picture on social media. Because of this, he was also suspended. He has also worked in many films and serials and is very active on social media. His statement in a podcast was also very popular in which he said, ‘I wanted to be a gangster as a child’.

The scheme was launched from 1 Jan 2004 and was made applicable to all citizens from 1 May 2009 on a voluntary basis. In OPS, the pension amount is paid by the government, whereas in NPS, the contribution is made by the government as well as the employee. Under NPS, the government and employees contribute 10 and 14 per cent of the salary, respectively, to the pension fund. Seeing that OPS can become a big election issue in Karnataka polls and the upcoming 2024 general elections, the Modi government said that it will review the NPS and for this a committee has also been formed. While the decision of the committee is ‘imprisoned in the womb of the future’, this message has already been given to the public as to how much the PM cares for the pension holders.

WHEN WILL THE RESHUFFLE HAPPEN IN CONG CWC? RUDY’S ‘BIHAR’ CHALLENGE!

The plan for a comprehensive reshuffle in the Congress organisation is yet to materialised. However, sources reveal that Kharge has worked hard for a comprehensive reshuffle in the CWC, Congress Election Committee and the Congress organisation, after getting a free-hand from the Gandhi family. He has also prepared the final list of names, but its announcement seems to be have been postponed till the Karnataka elections. Kharge is also doing the work of selecting Congress candidates in Karnataka, and the Gandhi family has made it clear that ‘the family will not have any interference in the candidate selection process.’ Based on that the list of candidates is being finalised.

The target of benefiting 30 thousand farmers has been increased to 50 thousand for the construction of farm ponds in the next two years. A total of Rs 261.75 crore will be spent on this.

In the scheme, nonsmall-marginal farmers belonging to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribes will also get 10 percent additional subsidy like small-marginal farmers.

In order to encourage and provide support to the farmers, the grant limit for construction of plastic lining farm pond has also been increased from Rs.90 thousand to Rs.1.20 lakh.

New

Recently, BJP MP from Bihar and former Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy announced in front of a few of his fellow MPs in the Central Hall that ‘he will not contest the 2024 elections, but will prove himself to be the ‘King of Bihar’. He said that while disclosing his strategies and stressed that ‘he is trying to bring together the ‘forward’ castes of Bihar, especially the Rajput community, on a single platform and intends to take his forward organisation to every district of Bihar.

These camps will be held along with the camps of Prashasan Shahron/Gaon ke Sang in which information related to the schemes will be given and eligible beneficiaries will be linked to

ing these camps, inflation relief counters will be set up for the schemes. Permanent inflation relief camps will be set up at 2000 places in the state. Such camps will be organised at government hospitals, gas agencies, bus stands, major markets, shopping malls, airports, railway stations, district collectorate offices, panchayat samiti, municipality and other govt offices and public places.
