GREEN INNOVATIONS: FLORIADE EXPO 2022 IN THE NETHERLANDS REVEALS A HIGH-TECH BRIDGE BUILT WITH FLAX

n April 13 Willem-Alexander, king of The Netherlands, opened the World Horticultural Exhibition Floriade Expo 2022 in Almere, 30-minute drive from Amsterdam. For 6 months (the expo will close next October 9) the Dutch horticulture sector, together with 400 national and international participants, will show green solutions on the theme “Growing Green Cities” to make cities greener, healthier, more sustainable and enjoyable for the young and the old. This theme is more important than ever as by 2050, it is estimated that 68% of the global population will live in cities on a mere 2% of the Earth’s surface area.
Dutch king Willem-Alexander opened Floriade Expo in Almere a few days ago. The international horticulturl expo spans 60ha and will close in early October.
