My first foray into the world of personal development was joining a Yoga class. Yoga became the hour in the week that kept me sane. Yoga is so much more than exercise. It creates balance in the emotions and the mind via balancing the body. We practice everything on both sides in both directions.
W
e have a left and right brain with completely different roles – left for logic, right for romance. The left brain keeps us grounded, maintains our filing cabinet of facts and our diary. The right brain is our imagination, our creative side whether that is new ideas or problem solving, it gives us our emotions. We need both to function, should we loose our left brain function then right brain has free reign to imagine the impossible, it removes restriction, place your hand on a wall and you will no longer see a hand and a wall but a wonderful merging of both, you would place your hand in a fire as you don’t know it will burn you. Remove the right brain function and we live life in a very limited way, facts but no feelings.
