usiness woman and entrepreneur Karen Todd has created a brand new business. Finally fulfilling a lifelong ambition to be part of the fashion industry. ‘’As a teenager, I always followed fashion avidly. I loved to experiment and create different identities through the clothing I wore. Having studied Fashion Design at college, I found myself in the retail world. As a manager for major high street fashion companies, I began to find the industry a little constructive. Companies were more, understandably focused on their high profits, rather than creating an experience for the shopper. It was time for a career change, the fitness industry beckoned. A decade later, another string to my bow was added. As a creative person, I decided to add Hair Stylist to my portfolio. Both areas of my career were perfect, they enabled me to be there for my young daughters. Still something was missing, deep in my heart I knew my one, true passion was always fashion. I turned an unfortunate change in my life into a positive. I realised that now my dream was finally possible. Fate had decided, with the support of my partner Neville and best friend Sophie, KT Boutique was realised. KT Boutique’s ethos is ‘Fashion for Everyone’. I want all women to feel included and worthy. With fashion forward clothing in sizes 6 – 26, I feel we are on the road to achieving this. The store on Market Street, Chorley, is fresh, fabulous and an Instagramer’s dream! I have tried to create a destination store. Whether you’re a serious shopperholic or just fancy a selfie in our lounge, KT Boutique makes everyone feel welcome. 162

The website www.ktboutique.co.uk launched on the 1st November. You will find new online exclusive fashion. Clients can check our in-store lines too, all available for postal throughout the UK. Our favourite part of the website is our #imwearingktboutique picture gallery. Our lines are updated weekly, fashion never sleeps at KT Boutique. Another side of the business is how we utilise the stores amazing décor. The first floor is a space perfect for photoshoots. You can rent the space 7 days a week. Our Boutique Bachelorette and Party Packages are available too. Our KT Boutique Glam package ensures that our clients are suitably fabulous, ready for any special occasion or night out. Hair, makeup and outfit, your one stop shop. We are building a brilliant following on social media, it’s just amazing. It is very humbling to have support and encouragement from people all over the country. I look forward to meeting new customers and welcoming our now, regulars. I feel privileged to come to the store everyday. I think I have finally found my happy place. My goal to inspire my two teenagers to dream big and never give up.
