The trainer who always stayed dry As the oldest member, in terms of age and one of the oldest in terms of "years of service", I can interview Cor van Zeventer about his years as a trainer at GSA.. Wim Munsterman

or's sporting talents are as a swimming enthusiast , recreational cycling and his work involves a lot of walking.

Cor became involved with swimming because of his daughter, Althea. Guiding her in swimming immediately changed her swimming performance. He started as a coach, later as a timekeeper at competitions, and eventually became a swimming trainer for GSA. Cor has never been seen in a swimsuit nor in the water. During his courses to become a swimming trainer, he naturally had to put the various strokes into practice, but his enthusiasm for swimming has more to do with transferring the technique to someone else; something he has done with enthusiasm for swimmers of all ages.

Cor first heard about GSA from his daughter. She was friends with/ competitor of the daughter of another GSA trainer. Although his schedule was already full with swimming trainings and competitions, he still had time to fill the GSA trainer vacancy. It was an easy decision for him to take on training swimmers since it was something he was passionate about. Many a GSA swimmer started with Cor to work on the quality of their stroke. I learned the freestyle at GSA and it has become my favorite stroke. While Butterfly and Breaststroke have the highest risk of injury (shoulders and knees) and continue to evolve technically, freestyle has lasted the longest.
