ε το που εμφανίστηκε στη Μόστρα, στην πρεμιέρα της ταινίας «Miss Violence», όλα τα φλας στράφηκαν πάνω της, ενώ κοινό και κριτικοί μιλούν ακόμη για την «Εleni» που κέρδισε τις εντυπώσεις στο φετινό Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Βενετίας. Ποια είναι όμως η κοπέλα που μέχρι εχθές γνωρίζαμε ελάχιστα και σήμερα ο διεθνής τύπος την αποκαλεί «ελληνίδα Αντζελίνα Τζολί»; Η Ελένη Ρουσσινού μας συστήνεται και μιλά για τη «Μiss Violence», την ταινία του Αλέξανδρου Αβρανά που σάρωσε τα βραβεία φέτος στη Βενετία, αποσπώντας τον Αργυρό Λέοντα, το βραβείο ανδρικού ρόλου για τον Θέμη Πάνου, το βραβείο των κριτικών FEDEORA και το νεανικό βραβείο Arca. Το «Miss Violence» βασίζεται εν μέρει σε αληθινά γεγονότα, σε μία ιστορία που συνέβη στη Γερμανία το 2010. Η ταινία ξεκινά με ένα 11χρονο κορίτσι -την Αγγελική, που αυτοκτονεί την ημέρα των γενεθλίων του. Η οικογένειά της, αντί να θρηνήσει, προσπαθεί να ξεχάσει και να συνεχίσει κανονικά την ζωή της. Σταδιακά όμως αποκαλύπτονται φρικτά μυστικά σεξουαλικής κακοποίησης και οικογενειακής βίας. Η πραγματική ιστορία είναι πολύ πιο σκληρή, η ταινία φαντάζει πολύ μαλακή μπροστά της… Παρουσιάζει μία οικογένεια με κανονικούς ανθρώπους που θυμίζει κατά πολύ τη δική μας. Δεν υπάρχουν μέσα βίαιες σκηνές. Τα μηνύματα περνάνε με έμμεσο τρόπο, αλλιώς θα ήταν ένα ντοκιμαντέρ. Στην Ελλάδα, όπου η οικογένεια είναι βασικός πυρήνας, είμαστε εξοικειωμένοι με τέτοια περιστατικά; Η υπόθεση της ταινίας είναι άτοπη και άχρονη. Θα μπορούσε να είναι μία ελληνική, αλλά και μία άλλη ευρωπαϊκή οικογένεια, σε οποιαδήποτε χρονική στιγμή. Οι ιστορίες αυτές δυστυχώς συμβαίνουν και στην Ελλάδα, πολύ περισσότερο απ’ όσο νομίζουμε. The moment she appeared in Venice, at the première of Miss Violence, she was bombarded with camera flashes, while the public and critics alike are still raving about Eleni, who stole the limelight at this year's Venice Film Festival. Who is this girl that burst onto the scene and is being referred to as the "Greek Angelina Jolie" by the international press? Eleni Roussinou introduces herself and speaks about Miss Violence, a film directed by Alexandros Avranas that won many awards in Venice, including the Silver Lion for best director, the Volpi Cup for best actor for Themis Panou, the FEDORA critic's award and the Arca Cinema Giovanni award for young people. Miss Violence is based on true events, on a story that took place in Germany in 2010. The story begins with an 11-year-old girl, Angeliki, who commits suicide on her birthday. Rather than grieving, her family tries to forget and to continue living a normal life. However, horrific secrets of sexual abuse and domestic violence are gradually revealed. The real story is much harsher than the one portrayed in the film, which is more moderate and introduces a family with normal people, much like our own. There are no violent scenes in the film. The themes are obliquely presented, or else it would be a documentary. Have we been exposed to such events in Greece, where the family is a core value? The subject matter of the film is both unseemly and timeless. It could be a Greek family or any other family in Europe and could take place at any time. Unfortunately, these stories are more common in Greece than we think. I didn't realise how much common, before I started working on the film. You portray the daughter of Themis Panou and Reni Pittaki, who lives at her parent's house with her children and "accepts" everything that happens.
