Lot 8. Steve Miller’s Signed Original HandPainted Guitar. An original hand-painted found object sculpture by guitar legend Steve Miller. Consisting of a Maccaferri classical guitar painted in acrylics over the body, neck, fretboard, headstock, tuning pegs, bridge, and strings, the piece is signed and dated by the artist on the reverse, at the bottom of the body, in black felt pen, “Stevie Guitar Miller 10.5.21.” A vibrant and colorful tribute to the guitar by a modern master of the instrument, the artwork measures 35”x13” and 4” deep and exhibits some light intentional paint splatter.
