Red Cross Parent & Tot Swim 4-36mths
The Red Cross Parent and Tot program is designed for infants/toddlers and their parents to learn aquatic skills and safety supervision tactics through structured play, songs and activities in a fun, safe environment. Children move through levels based on age.
Preschool swim lessons are NOT offered at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the aquatic environment, preschoolers must be kept together for their safety and the format of these classes are very “hands on” from instructor to student. With social distancing being a mandate in public services, we CANNOT offer these levels safely at this time.
Red Cross Swim Kids 6-16yrs
This is a challenging 10-level program for school aged children. Five swimming strokes are taught and fitness is used to build endurance and promote individual success. Water safety skills are taught to all levels promoting “Prepare, Stay Safe, and Survive!” and making wise choices in and around the water.
Swim Kids 1 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and physical distancing guidelines set by the Provincial Health Officer, we have made changes to the Red Cross Parent and Tot Swim Lessons. We are limiting the registration to four tots for each class with their parents, and parents will be instructed by a Water Safety Instructor trained to encourage physical distancing during the class.

We are following the Red Cross Swimming Lesson Covid-19 Safety Protocols. We have limited each class’s enrollment to 5. This will help the instructors practice social distancing during the class. For Swim Kids Levels 1-4, one parent is encouraged to join the class to assist their child if necessary. You would physically assist with floats, submersions and other activities in the water that are necessary. We will also limit the activities within the class for the safety of each child.
