om’è nata la passione per l’Arte e perché la pittura?

Sono andato a scuola a Tirana, poi per mille motivi non mi hanno lasciato studiare Arte, ma io non ho mai smesso e sono sempre andato avanti. Inizialmente facevo lo scultore, poi ovviamente mi sono dedicato anche alla pittura. Nell’85’ io avevo 15 anni.

Da noi ogni ne anno veniva organizzata una mostra con tutti gli artisti della provincia, a cui si presentavano sia scultori che pittori. In quell’occasione mi sono presentato con una scultura, un bassorilievo molto

go (conservo ancora una bellissima foto) e un dipinto di una natura morta. Quello era l’anno della pittura e la mia natura morta è stata comprata per una cifra importante. Era lo Stato ad acquistare le opere d’arte, perché non esistevano gallerie d’arte private sotto il Comunismo. Lo Stato, con queste opere, arredava gli u ci del paese e la cosa più assurda è stata ritrovare la mia natura morta nella ditta in cui lavorava mio padre, tutto casuale! E poi a mio papà sono arrivati parecchi soldi, più di uno stipendio, che hanno valorizzato il mio lavoro, considerato che ormai avevo 15 anni. Mi ricordo che mi ha comprato un paio di scarpe nuove ed io ero felicissimo, soprattutto perché mi sentivo utile in casa. Questo mi ha dato il coraggio per andare avanti, è stata una cosa davvero bella, e oggi siamo qua, domani chissà… questa è la mia storia in poche parole. Come mai l’Italia e perché Verona? Fino al 2000 sono stato ad Atene, ero un clandestino, ho attraversato le montagne per giorni e giorni per arrivare a piedi in Grecia. Ad Atene facevo il restauratore di icone bizantine. Facevo delle icone nuove e dopo, per mille motivi, mi sono stufato perché la Grecia non mi dava quello che volevo, era ed è ancora oggi indietro nel mondo dell’arte in particolare, specialmente se parliamo di arte contemporanea. Loro preferiscono comprare 100 icone, non acquistano mai un quadro e questa mentalità mi stava stretta, insomma io l’arte l’avevo letta diversamente. È vero che venivo dal Comunismo, però avevo sentito che esisteva un certo

ECLECTIC AND ABSTRACT ARTIST LUIGI LEARDINI’S INTERVIEWS

How was your passion for art born and why painting?

I went to school in Tirana, then for a thousand reasons they didn't let me study Art, but I never stopped loving it and I've always kept going. Initially I was a sculptor, then I obviously also dedicated myself to painting. In 1985 I was 15 years old. Every year we organized an exhibition with all the artists of the area, to which both sculptors and painters presented themselves. On that occasion I presented myself with a sculpture, a very cool bas-relief (I still have a photo) and a still life painting. That was the year dedicated to painting and my still life was bought for a signi cant amount. It was the state that bought the works of art, because there were no private art galleries under Communism.

The State, with these works, furnished the oces of the country and the most absurd thing was to nd my still life in the company where my father worked, all by chance! And then my dad got a lot of money, more than a salary, which gave value to my work, considering that I was 15. I remember that he bought me a new pair of shoes and I was delighted, above all because I felt useful at home. This gave me the courage to carry on, it was a really beautiful thing, and today we are here, tomorrow who knows... this is my story in a nutshell. Why Italy and why Verona?

Until 2000 I was in Athens, I was an illegal immigrant, I crossed the mountains for days and days to get to Greece on foot. In Athens I was a restorer of Byzantine icons. I made new icons and then I got bored because Greece didn't give me what I wanted, it was and still is behind in the art world in particular, especially if we talk about contemporary art. They prefer to buy 100 icons, they never buy a painting and this mentality felt limiting to me, in short. I read art di erently. It is true that I came from Communism, but I heard that there was a certain Picasso and I was looking for something like that. And I found it in every sense in Italy. Italy was totally di erent. My wife arrived rst in Verona, I arrived as an illegal immigrant. I came here and was looking for any job, but let's remember that I had my studio in Athens. I was an artist and nding another type of job wasn't easy for me, changing and going to work as a labourer, but I was forced to do it. I did all possible jobs: carpenter, furniture assembler, in short, I did everything to survive.

Picasso ed io ero in cerca di quella storia lì. E l’ho trovata in tutti i sensi in Italia. L’Italia era totalmente diversa. A Verona è arrivata prima mia moglie, io sono arrivato come clandestino. Sono venuto qua e cercavo un lavoro qualsiasi, però ricordiamo che ad Atene io avevo il mio studio, ero un’artista e trovare un altro tipo di lavoro non era facile per me, cambiare e andare a fare il manovale, ma per mille motivi ero costretto a farlo. Ho fatto tutti i lavori possibili: falegname, operaio montatore di mobili, addetto ai traslochi, insomma ho fatto di tutto per sopravvivere. Poi ho lavorato con un architetto e con lui ho valutato varie opzioni ed ho aperto un mio Studio. Quando ho aperto, però, nessuno mi conosceva come artista e ho cominciato a fare le tele dei telai per gli artisti per poter guadagnare, pagare l’a tto e mantenere la mia famiglia.

Per vivere non puoi sognare, ti devi rassegnare perché servono i soldi veri. Ma ho iniziato a fare le tele per gli artisti numero uno in Italia, qui non esistevano tele così perfette, tanto che ancora oggi mi chiedono: le fai ancora?

Quali sono le tappe che ti hanno maggiormente segnato come uomo e come Artista?

La forza di volontà e la voglia di arrivare!

Avevo fame ed ero un ragazzo molto determinato. Dopo il percorso che ho appena descritto, ho aperto la mia prima vetrina a Santa Chiara, prima tappa importante della mia carriera, è da lì che è cominciata la storia. Ma la mia vera storia comincia quando casualmente sei anni fa incontrai Philippe Daverio, li è cambiata la situazione perché ho cominciato a pensare in modo diverso. Mi ricordo che Daverio quando è entrato nel mio studio e ha visto le opere, non lo dimenticherò mai, mi ha guardato, si è seduto qua vicino a me, mi ha ordinato un Gin Tonic, perché lui adorava il Gin Tonic, e mi ha detto: TU SI QUE VALES, la parola famosa, e mi fa: tu sei totalmente un astrattista, però sei diverso. L’astrattismo ormai è diventato una cosa molto di usa, però tu hai una marcia in più. Ho fatto la mia prima importante mostra a Villa Verità Poeta nel 2018 a Verona e poi mi ha chiamato a Milano nel suo spazio espositivo ed ho organizzato una mostra anche là. Avrei dovuto presentare l’opera dell’Arena, avevo una data chiusa con lui, ma un mese prima mi chiama il suo segretario

You can't survive by dreaming, you have to resign yourself because you need money. But I started making canvases for the number one artists in Italy. Here there were no such perfect canvases, so much so that even today they ask me: do you still make them?

What are the stages that have characterized you the most as a man and as an artist?

The willpower and the desire to get there! I was hungry and I was a very determined boy. After the path I have just described, I opened my rst shop window in Santa Chiara, the rst important step in my career, and that's where the story began. But my real story begins when I casually met Philippe Daverio six years ago. It all changed there because I began to think di erently. I remember Daverio when he entered my studio and saw the works, I will never forget him, he looked at me, he sat down here next to me, he ordered me a Gin Tonic, becau-

se he loved Gin Tonic, and he said: TU SI QUE VALES, the famous words! And he said to me: you are totally an abstractionist, but you are di erent. Abstract art has now become a very widespread thing, but you have something extra. I had my rst important exhibition at Villa Verità Poeta in 2018 in Verona and then he called me in Milan in his exhibition space and I organized an exhibition there too. I was supposed to present the Arena Opera, I had an appointment with him, but a month before his secretary called me saying that Philippe was not well, and a month later he left us. But I didn't want to tell the misery of that terrible moment, I wanted to tell the happiness. I left the past behind and moved on. I’ve always told the beautiful, both in black and white.

What is your favorite color and what do you use the most?

My favorite? No one, all of them, because when I go to the studio, I don't think about a particular color because otherwise I become a slave to that color. I could say green, but there are paintings where I don't even use it. Color comes from the soul and at a precise moment. When I go to the studio and pick up a color, it doesn't mean that it's my favorite color, but it's the color of the day at that moment and I almost become a slave to that color. But the next day it can change, it depends on how I slept, on my state of mind, because abstract art is not thought of even a second before.

What is the most important recognition you have received in your career to date? The best recognition (and my best story) is when I had the opportunity to paint in the coolest place in the world, the Arena di Verona. That event gave me self-con dence, so I said

Ho lasciato il passato alle spalle e sono andato avanti, ho raccontato sempre il bello, nato con un bianco e nero. Qual è il tuo colore preferito e che usi maggiormente?

Il mio preferito? Nessuno, tutti e nessuno perché io quando vado in studio, non penso esista un colore tuo perché altrimenti diventi schiavo di quel colore lì.

Potrei dire il verde, ma ci sono quadri dove non lo uso nemmeno. Il colore è l’anima ed esce in quel momento preciso. Quando vado in studio e prendo un colore, non signi ca che quello sia il mio colore preferito, ma è il colore del giorno in quel momento lì e io divento quasi schiavo di quel colore, ma il giorno dopo può cambiare, dipende da come hai dormito, dallo stato d’animo proprio, perché l’astrattismo ragazzi non viene pensato neanche un secondo prima. Qual è il riconoscimento più importante che hai avuto nella tua carriera no ad oggi?

Il riconoscimento più bello (e la mia storia più bella) è quando ho avuto la possibilità di dipingere nel posto più go al mondo, l’Arena di Verona. Quell’evento mi ha dato sicurezza in me stesso, quindi mi sono detto: se ho fatto questo posso fare qualsiasi altra cosa.

Chi ti aveva contattato per quel progetto? Nessuno, ho contattato io tutti. Inizialmente doveva essere in collaborazione con un cantante lirico, ma poi ho cambiato strada e ho trovato il famoso DJ Benny Benassi.

Chi è il tuo artista preferito? Jackson Pollock forse?

No no, per me sono tanti però io in un artista non vedo solo il dipinto, a me piace la storia e per me il primo e l’ultimo nora (e dopo di lui sarò io) è Pablo Picasso, lui è diventato matto, ha rovesciato tutta la storia dell’arte, se non fosse nato un Picasso noi non saremmo nessuno. Diciamo che devo molto anche alla sua storia, al suo modo di dipingere, alla sua libertà.

Ricordi quando tempo fa ti chiesi se ti ispiri a Jackson Pollock e mi avevi risposto che non lo conoscevi proprio?

Vero, non avevo mai sentito il suo nome e quando un mio amico veronese mi fece vedere una sua opera, risposi: ma questo mi copia! Ah ah ah! No, comunque non l’avevo mai sentito prima.

Nobody, I contacted everyone. Initially it was supposed to be in collaboration with an opera singer, but then I changed method and found the famous DJ Benny Benassi.

Who is your favorite artist? Jackson Pollock maybe?

No no, for me there are many. But since I am an artist, I see beyond paintings. I like the stories behind them and for this reason I love Pablo Picasso. He was crazy, he overturned the whole history of art. If a Picasso hadn't been born we would be nowhere in art. Let's say that I also owe a lot to his story, his way of painting, his freedom.

Do you remember when I asked you some time ago if you were inspired by Jackson Pollock and you replied that you didn't know him at all?

True, I had never heard his name and when a friend of mine from Verona showed me one of his works, I replied: he copies me! Ha ha ha! No, I've never heard of it before anyway.

Durante la serata, un’eclettica esibizione del famoso violinista rock Pierpaolo Foti, ospite in passato anche in programmi come Soliti Ignoti e Il Filo Rosso di Paola Perego su Rai 2. Il violinista ha animato gli animi e colorato la serata con musica dirompente e impossibile da resistere. Hanno contribuito a rendere piacevole la serata i deliziosi vini della Cantina Fumanelli e le famose frolline del Pani cio Tinelli Massimo.

On Friday 2 December, the artist Agron Hoti exhibited his most evocative works at the elegant Ballarini Interni furniture showroom in Valgatara di Valpolicella, which for the occasion organized an aperitif open to the public also to exchange Christmas greetings ahead of the holidays. The beautiful abstract paintings shone among the luxury furniture, enhancing it and giving it a new personality. During the evening, an eclectic performance by the famous rock violinist Pierpaolo Foti, a guest in the past also in programs such as Soliti Ignoti and Il Filo Rosso by Paola Perego on Rai 2. The violinist enlivened the spirits and colored the evening with disruptive music, impossible to resist. The delicious wines of the Fumanelli winery and the famous shortbread biscuits of the Tinelli Massimo bakery were the cherry on top.

La vicinanza a Porta Borsari su una strada consolare fanno propendere gli investigatori a pensare che gli ampi scavi di una casa di grandi dimensioni, rinvenuti a pochi metri sotto l'ex cinema Astra di Via Oberdan, appartengano ad una mansio romana, adibita a luogo di ospitalità. Si tratta insomma di una struttura alberghiera ra nata con tanto di mosaici e di a reschi, un'area di sosta per una clientela ricca, appena fuori della cinta muraria urbana, all'incrocio tra la Via Postumia e la Claudia Augusta. Lo scavo archeologico, non ancora ultimato, ha portato alla luce resti veramente importanti: la pianta della mansio è molto articolata. Tutto da decidere sulla destinazione d'uso dell'immobile, che no a qualche decennio fa ospitava il cinema, destinazione passata a commerciale con il vincolo di tutela sui ritrovamenti archeologici, che dovranno, sembra, restare visibili al pubblico, su espresso desiderio della Soprintendenza.

Molte sono le ipotesi ventilate: una delle più suggestive inizialmente era di creare un punto di incontro per i giovani dove si potesse assistere a spettacoli culturali, spettacoli teatrali e musicali, o proposte artistiche o cinematogra che. Si è parlato di una “Pompei veronese” per questo sito archeologico, il più importante della città, grazie alla presenza di mosaici ed a reschi alle pareti, che la fanno appunto assomigliare a Pompei. E come per la città campana, sepolta e immortalata dalle ceneri del Vesuvio, così pure per il sito veronese fu un evento drammatico, un incendio (probabilmente del IV secolo d.C.) che fece crollare il so tto dell'immobile, che così ha protetto e custodito per secoli la struttura sottostante, che giorni fa è stata visitata straordinariamente dal pubblico. E' del 2004 il ritrovamento di resti romani di questo grande edi cio sotto il cinema, quando la proprietà intendeva trasformarlo in un multisala, il che richiedeva uno scavo in profondità. Appena un metro sotto il pavimento sono venuti alla luce, invece, i resti della costruzione romana attiva in età Augustea e Flavia no all'incendio del IV secolo d.C. Doveva trattarsi di “albergo di lusso” con venti stanze ampie e riscaldamento a pavimento. Gli a reschi, in rosso pompeiano e grigio antracite con decori oreali stilizzati di grande e etto, sono conservati in modo eccellente; così pure i mosaici del II secolo d.C. Dal 2004 lo storico cinema Astra è rimasto chiuso; l'anno scorso, 2021, è cominciato il lavoro di recupero per mano della Cooperativa Archeologia di Firenze con fondi ministeriali e la supervisione scienti ca della Soprintendenza.

A ROMAN-ERA HOTEL DISCOVERED UNDER THE FORMER ASTRA CINEMA IN VIA OBERDAN

The proximity to Porta Borsari on a consular road leads experts to think that the extensive excavations of a large house, found a few meters below the former Astra cinema in Via Oberdan, belong to a Roman mansio, used as a place of hospitality. In short, it is a re ned hotel structure complete with mosaics and frescoes, a rest area for a wealthy clientele, just outside the city walls, at the crossroads between Via Postumia and Claudia Augusta. The archaeological excavation, not yet completed, has brought to light truly important remains: the plan of the mansio is very articulated.

It is now to be decided on the use of the building, which until a few decades ago housed the cinema, a destination sold with the constraint of protection on archaeological nds, which must, it seems, remain visible to the public, at the express wish of the Superintendence. There are many hypotheses around: one of the most suggestive initially was to create a meeting point for young people where they could attend cultural performances, theatrical and musical performances, or artistic or cinematographic proposals. There has been talk of a "Veronese Pompeii" for this archaeological site, the most important in the city, thanks to the presence of mosaics and frescoes on the walls, which make it look like Pompeii. And just like for the Campanian city, buried and immortalized by the ashes of Vesuvius, the Veronese site experienced a dramatic event, a re (probably from the 4th century AD) which brought down the ceiling of the building, thus protecting and guarding for centuries the underlying structure, which days ago was visited by the public.

The discovery of Roman remains of this large building under the cinema dates back to 2004, when the property intended to transform it into a multiplex, which required a deep excavation. Just one meter below the oor, however, the remains of the Roman building active in the Augustan and Flavian age up to the re in the 4th century AD have come to light. It was supposed to be a "luxury hotel" with twenty large rooms and under oor heating. The frescoes, in Pompeian red and anthracite gray with highly e ective stylized oral decorations, are excellently preserved; so are the mosaics of the 2nd century AD. The historic Astra cinema has been closed since 2004; last year, 2021, the recovery work began at the hands of the Florence Archeology Cooperative with ministerial funds and the scienti c supervision of the Superintendency.

MICHELE PERLINI’S PHIL HOUSE PROJECT, A FEW STEPS FROM THE VERONA ARENA, PUTS HUMANS AT THE CENTER, IN CONNECTION WITH NATURAL ELEMENTS TYPICAL OF BIOPHILIC ARCHITECTURE

In a historical moment, marked by the importance of experiences an a massive digitization of life, the relationship between human beings and living spaces has changed, transformed and evolved. It is now that the architect wears new clothes, both in terms of design and eco-sociality, exploring new needs and embracing a precise mission: to improve people's lives through his work.

This is the common denominator of Michele Perlini, inventor, designer and artistic director with a strong creative impulse in the imagination of new lifestyles and experiences interconnected with living spaces. The restyling and interior design project of Phil House, one of the iconic buildings of the city of Verona, took shape from a more than victorious partnership between sustainability and human’s centrality: the surface area of 280 square meters houses custom-made furniture and a customized lighting design. Here, wood, light and original frescoes of the time are interspersed in the name of sustainability, modernity and low energy consumption architecture.

The nal product looks to the future by creating a new conviviality, in order to re-bind the human being to Mother Nature in an ancestral symbiosis. “The environment and nature are our past, our present but also and above all our future. Our projects aim to be able to achieve this fusion. There is nothing better than a process that starts from nature and returns to nature".

PROGETTO DELL’ ARCHITETTO MICHELE IRLANDINI

Un progetto residenziale costituito da un alloggio bifamiliare situato nel meraviglioso e allegro comune di Bardolino. Il fabbricato realizzato è costituito da due unità abitative con una planimetria ad “elle”, collegate tra loro dai grandi porticati esterni, che caratterizzano l’opera nel suo insieme. La progettazione segue tutte le regole di edilizia sostenibile, in modo da ottenere un organismo che favorisca il risparmio energetico, il riutilizzo delle acque piovane e garantisca il benessere, la salute e l’igiene dei suoi abitanti. A tal proposito, sono stati previsti materiali da costruzione, componenti per l’edilizia e per impianti ed elementi di nitura, che non determinino lo sviluppo di gas tossici, emissione di particelle, radiazioni o gas pericolosi, inquinamento dell’acqua o del suolo. In più, si è stati attenti all’impiego di materiali e manufatti di cui sia possibile il riutilizzo anche al termine del ciclo di vita dell’edi cio e la cui produzione comporti un basso consumo energetico. Il grande terreno di pertinenza è caratterizzato dalla semplicità e delicatezza del verde del prato, che unisce il fabbricato con la piscina di proprietà che trova posto nella parte ovest del terreno; l’ampia vista sul territorio del Garda caratterizza quest’opera immersa nel verde del Comune di Bardolino. MICHELE IRLANDINI

Michele Irlandini nasce a Bussolengo nel 1982. Si laurea in architettura presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 2006. L’attività professionale si sviluppa attraverso la realizzazione di residenze private e spazi ricettivi, nelle quali il rapporto e il confronto con l’ambiente, la volumetria essenziale e l’organizzazione dei contenuti sono l’essenza dell’espressione progettuale.

A residential project consisting of a semi-detached house located in the wonderful and cheerful town of Bardolino. The building consists of two residential units with an L-shaped plan, connected to each other by large external porticoes, which characterize the work as a whole. The design follows all the rules of sustainable building, in order to obtain an organism that favors energy saving, the reuse of rainwater and guarantees the well-being, health and hygiene of its inhabitants. In this regard, construction materials, building and plant components and nishing elements have been selected from those which do not cause the development of toxic gases, the emission of particles, radiation or dangerous gases or water pollution or of the soil. In addition to it, we were careful to make use of materials and artifacts which can be reused even at the end of the building's life cycle and whose production involves low energy consumption. The large land of relevance is characterized by the simplicity and delicacy of the green of the lawn, which connects the building with the private swimming pool which is located in the western part of the land; the wide view of the Garda area characterizes this work immersed in the greenery of the Municipality of Bardolino.

MICHELE IRLANDINI

Michele Irlandini was born in Bussolengo in 1982. He graduated in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 2006. His professional career developed through the creation of private residences and accommodation spaces, in which the relationship and comparison with the environment, the essential volumes and the organization of the contents are the essence of his design expression.

L’edi cio si trova lungo la strada regionale SR11, al n.17 della Via Verona. Il progetto ha previsto un più ampio piano Urbanistico di riquali cazione di un’area agricola degradata con la modi ca del piano degli interventi Comunale, partendo dall' idea di un insediamento turistico ricettivo, inserendo dei fabbricati dalle volumetrie esterne tipiche della Zona. Il primo intervento è una struttura adibita alla ristorazione. L'accesso è caratterizzato da un viale con uliveti gardesani ed un fabbricato che ricorda gli annessi rustici della zona all’interno dei quali si svolgevano le più svariate funzioni legate all’agricoltura, elementi di raccordo con tale struttura sono dei volumi contemporanei rivestiti o realizzati in ferro come il vano cucina, i pergolati esterni e le vetrate in Ferro Corten. Il fabbricato risulta come un corpo imponente con elementi contemporanei verso il vigneto esistente, che nel tempo crescerà ed andrà a fondersi attraverso il pergolato con l’intera struttura architettonica.

The building is located along the regional road SR11, at number 17 of Via Verona. The project envisaged a broader urban plan for the redevelopment of a degraded agricultural area with a modi cation of the municipal intervention plan, starting from the idea of a tourist accommodation facility, inserting buildings with external volumes typical of the area. Ma la vera sorpresa è l'interno: il piano terra ospita bar e sala ristorazione con le ampie vetrate a sud che abbracciano la luce del sole che penetra attraverso i lari della vigna e riscaldano gli ambienti soprattutto nel periodo invernale. Il piano primo è rappresentato da un ampio soppalco, adibito ad una zona più privata di ristorazione, come si trovava negli antichi enili, poi da esso si accede ad una ampia area esterna con un sovrastante pergolato di vite che permette una visione anche delle Prealpi con la catena del Monte Baldo e la Lessinia, che proteggono a nord dai venti e dal freddo. Al piano interrato c’è la cantina, adibita alla stagionatura di salumi, formaggi e vino, un ambiente cupo ed umido; all'interno troviamo un grande tavolo dove, come nella tradizione locale, si potranno assaggiare i cibi della cantina e gustare

i vini più pregiati del nostro territorio. Lo spazio esterno rappresenta nella bella stagione una zona di ristorazione all’aperto, inserita nel verde dove gli ospiti potranno degustare i cibi trasizionali inseriti nell’ambiente dai quali provengono. “Tutto il progetto è stato realizzato rispettando i canoni e le prescrizioni della BioArchitettura” spiega l'architetto Nicola Cacciatori, “si tratta di un edi cio a consumo zero, Classe A4, realizzato con materiali della tradizione locale, con l’ausilio di isolamenti ed impianti tecnologicamente all’avanguardia per permettere al fabbricato di aver bisogno della minima energia possibile. Si è partiti dalla forma e dal posizionamento del fabbricato in maniera corretta rispetto al sole e all’energia naturale che ne deriva, quindi si è realizzato un impianto fotovoltaico, che possa aiutare il fabbisogno energetico quando è necessario”.

The access is characterized by an avenue with Garda olive groves and a building that recalls the rustic annexes of the area within which the most varied functions related to agriculture were carried out, elements of connection with this structure are contemporary volumes covered or made in iron like the kitchen compartment, the external pergolas and the Corten iron windows. The building appears as an imposing body with contemporary elements towards the existing vineyard, which will grow over time and will merge through the pergola with the entire architectural structure. But the real surprise is inside: the ground oor houses the bar and dining room with large south-facing windows that embrace the sunlight that penetrates through the rows of vines and heat the rooms especially in winter. The rst oor is represented by a large mezzanine, used as a more private dining area, as it was in the old barns.

From here you can access a large outdoor area with an overhanging vine pergola which also allows a view of the Pre-Alps with the chain of Monte Baldo and Lessinia, which protect the north from strongs winds and the cold. In the basement there is the cellar, used for the maturing of cured meats, cheeses and wine, a gloomy and humid environment; inside we nd a large table where, as in the local tradition, you can taste the food from the cellar and the nest wines of our area. In the summer, the outdoor space represents an open-air restaurant area, surrounded by greenery where guests can taste the traditional foods inserted in the environment from which they come. “The whole project was carried out respecting the canons and prescriptions of BioArchitecture” explains the architect Nicola Cacciatori, “it is a zero-consumption building, Class A4, built with traditional local materials, with the aid of insulation and technologically advanced systems to allow the building to need the minimum possible energy. We started from the shape and positioning of the building in a correct manner with respect to the sun and the natural energy that derives from it, then a photovoltaic system was created, which can help meet energy needs when necessary".

These will relate to all the exclusive parapets of the villa. The main entrance is characterized by a large wall covered in marble with the backlit logo. AN ANCIENT WONDER

A BEAUTIFUL RENOVATION OF A NOBLE PALACE IN VERONA

to Paola Arduini, è stato particolarmente complesso, sia per le condizioni di degrado e incuria in cui il palazzo versava, sia per le trasformazioni che esso ha subito nel corso dei secoli (nel Novecento è stato addirittura rialzato di un piano). L’intento primario è stato quello di restituire l’edi cio all’antico splendore, attraverso il recupero meticoloso degli elementi originali e dei dettagli di pregio, dagli a reschi agli antichi camini in pietra di Vicenza, dagli archi in mattoni alle parti lignee.

L’intervento, ispirato a criteri essenzialmente conservativi, ha comportato il mantenimento di quasi tutte le strutture primitive, opportunamente consolidate e sostituite solo nei casi di grave degrado.

The restoration project, overseen by the architect Paola Arduini, was particularly complex, both due to the conditions of degradation and neglect in which the building was found, and to the transformations it has undergone over the centuries (in the twentieth century it was even raised by one oor).

The primary intent was to restore the building to its former glory, through the meticulous recovery of the original elements and valuable details, from the frescoes to the ancient Vicenza stone replaces, from the brick arches to the wooden parts.

The intervention, inspired by essentially conservative criteria, involved the maintenance of almost all the primitive structures, suitably consolidated and replaced only in cases of serious deterioration.

Nel salone, dotato di un antico e imponente camino in pietra, restaurato e funzionante, è stato ricavato un soppalco-libreria. A destra, un’immagine della cucina moderna di Poliform Varenna. In basso, la camera da letto padronale e un bagno. Per il pavimento è stato utilizzato un antico teak, proveniente da un tempio indiano.

In the living room, equipped with an ancient and imposing stone fireplace, restored and functioning, a mezzanine-library has been created. On the right, an image of the modern kitchen by Poliform Varenna. Below, the master bedroom and a bathroom. An ancient teak from an Indian temple was used for the floor.

Sul lago di Garda, nel centro di Bardolino, si trova un bellissimo attico in una palazzina di recente costruzione. On Lake Garda, in the centre of Bardolino, there is a beautiful penthouse in a recently built building. The apartment of 125 square metres is located on the top floor of the building and enjoys an enviable view of the lake, perceived immediately after entering thanks to the large open space with windows overlooking the terrace, with a breathtaking view. Ballarini Interni has taken care of the furnishing of this accommodation with the care and elegance that distinguishes every interior they have created.

It is interesting the open space solution in which you find yourself as soon as you enter the house, which includes the kitchen and the living room. The kitchen has been tailor-made by Ballarini Interni in detail and totally personalised.

In linea con le scelte cromatiche dell’intera abitazione, sui toni polverosi, troviamo una meravigliosa colonna a tutta altezza in color corda che ospita le attrezzature tecniche, quali frigo, cantina, e colonna dispensa; di particolare rilevanza è la colonna con ante a scomparsa che ospita piccoli elettrodomestici di uso comune. Sull’altro lato troviamo tutto il blocco operativo che è costituito da due penisole, quella centrale più grande ospita il piano cottura ed il lavello ed un piano snack da utilizzare con degli sgabelli, mentre dietro c’è una penisola con nata da una quinta che ospita anche il forno. Per entrambe è stato scelto come piano di lavoro il Dekton, un materiale composito e molto resistente,

In line with the colour choices of the whole house, in dusty tones, we nd a wonderful full-height rope coloured column housing the technical equipment, such as fridge, cellar, and pantry column; of particular importance is the column with retractable doors that houses small appliances of common use. On the other side we nd the whole operating block which consists of two peninsulas: the central , larger, that houses the hob and the sink and a snack top to use with stools, while behind it there is second peninsula bounded by a wing which also houses the oven. For both of them as a worktop it was chosen the Dekton, a composite and very resistant material in the nish Entzo with veins always in nuance

To accompany the visitor to the sleeping area, the sliding door in smoked glass of Rimadesio, really unmistakable in its style. This solution guarantees privacy while allowing the entry of light in the environments. The same solution is found in the two large sliding doors that divide the double bedroom

Nella camera padronale troviamo il letto matrimoniale Max di Twils, rivestito in tessuto grigio antracite, elegante e discreto, al quale fa da testata, una parete trattata con wallpaper Wall&Decò. Frontalmente al letto la parete attrezzata, realizzata da un azienda leader, Caccaro riesce infatti a fornire elementi di grandi dimensioni in un in nità di niture e tipologie distributive.

e cassetti per il contenimento, così da garantire sempre l’ordine degli spazi.

Concludiamo con la stanza dei ragazzi, la caratteristica principale è la parete trattata anch’essa con wallpaper LondonArt, un disegno onirico sui toni del verde e del blu, in linea con le nuance polverose del resto della casa, incornicia alla perfezione i due letti di Milano bedding che riprendono nel colore il verde del parato utilizzato, completando armonicamente la percezione degli spazi. Un intervento elegante ed armonico ad opera dei designers di Ballarini Interni nel centro di Bardolino.

In the master bedroom we nd the double bed Max by Twils, lined in anthracite grey fabric, elegant and discreet, with a wall treated with wallpaper Wall&Deco. In front of the bed the equipped wall, made by a leading company, Caccaro, manages to provide large elements in an in nite number of nishes and distribution types.

This wall of 5 metres in length houses in fact the at screen TV and many doors and drawers for storage, so as to to always guarantee the orderly space. We conclude with the kids' room, the main feature is again the LondonArt wallpaper treated wall, a

dreamlike design in the shades of green and blue, in line with the dusty nuances of the rest of the house. It frames perfectly the two beds by Milano bedding that recall the green of the wallpaper used in their colour, harmoniously completing the perception of the spaces.An elegant and harmonious intervention by the designers of Ballarini Interni in the centre of Bardolino.

A re ned environment characterized by warm tones and the use of precious materials such as White marble Lasa, solid wood and Metal Dust nish: it is the new Modulnova project (design Carlo Presotto and Andrea Bassanello) on display in the windows of the Modulnova agship store in Milan and presented during Design Week 2022, which combines the Frame Marble doors of the island with the doors of the Blade Edge. The protagonist of the environment is the Frame island, with a new version of doors that combine marble with a walnut wood frame that enhances its exclusivity.

The island is characterized by a sensation of lightness given by the thickness of the worktop reduced to just 12 mm and the side only 6 mm thick.

The entire composition appears as oating thanks to the presence of a 10 cm high base positioned below the island which lifts it o the oor. Both the island and all the various surfaces in Antolini's Bianco Lasa marble are nished with Azerocareplus, an anti-stain and anti-corrosion treatment certi ed and patented by Antolini. Glass: a green, recyclable material, with its clarity, transparency, versatility. An ecletic material that goes well with any environment and whose workmanship is to be considered pure art.

Alcune domande sono super ue, quando il Lago di Garda è ai tuoi piedi. Per esempio questa: come immagini la tua casa vacanze? Con ampie super ci vetrate e vista panoramica. Punto. E l‘architetto Matteo Brighenti l’ha progettata proprio così: una casa in posizione leggermente collinare aperta verso il lago-con una facciata tutta di vetro suddivisa in tre ordini orizzontali, che sembra annullare i con ni tra interno ed esterno. Almeno a livello visivo. Perché al più tardi quando il caldo sole estivo splende nel cielo o i temporali autunnali raggiungono il lago più grande d’Italia, si apprezza particolarmente la protezione o erta dai serramenti. O come dice l’arch. Brighenti: “La casa coniuga estetica e funzionalità con la massima tecnologia. Il contatto diretto con il lago era il nostro obiettivo primario e così le nestre di Finstral hanno assunto un’importanza centrale nella progettazione”.

Questa moderna costruzione è concepita in modo che ogni ambiente a acci sul lago. Per ottenere la massima trasparenza possibile, sulla facciata sono state installate esclusivamente pareti vetrate FIN-Vista a scomparsa con anta apribile Cristal. In questa soluzione, la lastra di vetro smaltato ricopre completamente i pro li in alluminio, facendoli scomparire quasi del tutto.

Così il serramento diventa un elemento di design che determina in modo decisivo la percezione dello spazio; al tempo stesso il cliente desiderava anche porte scorrevoli con ampie aperture per raggiungere comodamente la piscina al primo piano e la terrazza al secondo piano. Una volta di più: un abitare senza con ni. E l’ottima posizione permette una visione ampia della sponda opposta in cui spicca il comune lombardo di Toscolano Maderno.

Studio BMA Architects fondato nel 2018 da Matteo Brighenti e Guido Mosca. HOLIDAY HOME ON LAKE GARDA

A SPECTACULAR PANORAMA WITH FIN-VISTA

Maximum glass, maximum views: this was the clients’ speci cation. And, with Lake Garda at your feet, that is all you need. Architect Matteo Brighenti planned a light and airy holiday home whose façade would open onto the lake via a horizontal, three-part glass façade o ering panoramic views.

This modern building is so designed that all rooms are oriented towards the lake view. In order to maximize the glass surface, frameless FIN-Vista window walls and opening sashes from the Cristal design line were installed in the façade. This version means that the aluminium frame disappears under the enamelled glass, making the transition from glass to frame invisible. In this way the window becomes a design element that signicantly in uences the spatial e ect.

The sliding doors open wide onto the pool on the rst oor and the terrace on the second, removing the visual boundary between indoors and outdoors while protecting against summer heat, rain and wind.

The sliding door ensures maximum comfort of use thanks to high quality latches and a well insulated threshold without architectural barriers, only 2 cm high. The Soft-Stop function, which slows down the sliding of the door just before it reaches its closing seat, is very practical. In the presence of large glass surfaces, as in the case of FIN-Slide, Finstral always recommends the use of solar control glass.

Presidente, facciamo assieme un bilancio di questo 2022 - l’anno della Ripresa - che anno è stato per la denominazione? È stato l’anno della felicità. La felicità di tornare nalmente a fare eventi in presenza, ad incontrare le persone per far conoscere loro tutte le sfaccettature dei vini della nostra Denominazione. Insomma, ritrovarsi ha cambiato tutto. Lo abbiamo sperimentato in particolare modo con l’evento principale dell’anno Amarone Opera Prima, nel mese di giugno: l’entusiasmo di rivedersi in presenza, la città in uno dei mesi più animati, gli ospiti

Amarone Opera Prima, rimarrà legato ai mesi estivi e con il nuovo titolo, o tornerà ad essere l’Anteprima Amarone di sempre?

In parte qualcosa cambierà ed in parte rimarrà come sempre. Partendo da location e periodo, quest’anno riportiamo l’evento nei mesi invernali: dunque sarà il 4 e 5 febbraio alla Gran Guardia di Verona. Ciò che rimarrà mutato è il titolo: sarà come nel 2022 Amarone Opera Prima, in segno del legame signi cativo che ci unisce al territorio veronese, alle sue eccellenze e alla sua cultura lirica. Nel 2023 parleremo, oltre che far conoscere la Vendemmia 2018 dell’Amarone della Valpolicella, anche del prezioso percorso di studio, analisi e documentazione della tecnica di appassimento dell’uva della Valpolicella che ci ha portato alla decisione condivisa di proporne la candidatura quale patrimonio culturale immateriale dell’UNESCO.

It was the year of happiness. The happiness of nally going back to doing events in presence, to meet people to let them know all the facets of the wines of our Label. In short, meeting in person again has changed everything. We experienced it especially with the event main feature of the year, Amarone Opera Prima, in June: there was a lot of enthusiasm to meet again in person, the city was extremely busy. Then the national and international guests that attended, the strong bond with the local culture that has united two excellences such as Amarone and Opera. It was a real hit. Will Amarone Opera Prima remain linked to summer months and with the new title, or will it go back to being the Amarone Preview ever?

Something will change and something will remain as always. Starting from location and period, this year we will bring the event back to the winter months: it therefore will be on 4 and 5 February at the Gran Guardia in Verona. On the other hand, the title will remain the same, 2022 Amarone Opera Prima, as a tribute to the signi cant bond that unites us to the Verona area, its excellence and its lyrical culture. Quali sono i mercati che avete esplorato nel 2022 e quali quelli con cui avete rinsaldato il legame?

La Valpolicella ha sicuramente rinsaldato il legame con i mercati storici come Stati Uniti, Canada e Germania. Ma siamo stati anche ricercati da parte di mercati emergenti in cui stiamo facendo i primi passi per promuovere la nostra Denominazione, come il Vietnam, dove approderemo a breve con degli eventi. In Asia in particolare modo vogliamo sviluppare i presidi che abbiamo già in Cina e Giappone. Qui l’Amarone è la referenza trainante di tutti gli altri vini della denominazione.

Il 2022 è stato anche l’anno della ripresa degli eventi in presenza, come dicevamo. Quali sono stati i più signi cativi per la Valpolicella?

Sicuramente siamo stati protagonisti a Vinitaly, la era internazionale del vino di cui noi veronesi siamo orgogliosi, perché si svolge a casa nostra e dà prestigio alla nostra città.

Poi menzionerei anche il ritorno a Londra, che dopo la Brexit aveva dato qualche motivo di preoccupazione, ed invece è stata una conferma del successo che la nostra denominazione ha in terra anglosassone.

All’evento nel centro della capitale inglese hanno partecipato oltre 500 persone tra operatori settore, media e wine lovers. Cosa ci attende nel 2023?

Abbiamo in cantiere molti viaggi internazionali e diversi eventi nazionali, come il ritorno a Roma a Trinità dei Monti, ma soprattutto per rimanere in terra veneta, un grande evento sul Valpolicella Superiore a Venezia a inizio estate. Venezia è la città di Hemingway e il famoso scrittore amava molto il vino della DOC scaligera. Il Valpolicella Superiore è il vino su cui in questo momento il 70% delle nostre aziende consorziate puntano maggiormente per il proprio business, per cui abbiamo pensato ad un’occasione importante per raccontarlo e promuoverlo. E Venezia ci è sembrata la location perfetta.

Valpolicella has certainly strengthened the link with long-standing markets such as the United States, Canada and Germany. But we have also been sought after by emerging markets where we are taking the rst steps to promote our Label, such as Vietnam, where we will soon land with events. In Asia in particular, we want to develop the facilities we already have in China and Japan. Here Amarone is the driving reference for all the other wines of the Label. 2022 was also the year of the resumption of face-to-face events, as we said. What were the most signi cant ones for Valpolicella?

We have certainly been protagonists at Vinitaly, the international wine fair of which we in Verona are proud, because it takes place in our home and gives prestige to our city.

Then I would also mention the return to London, which, after Brexit, had given some cause for concern, and instead was a con rmation of the success that our Label has in Anglo-Saxon soil. The event in the center of the English capital was attended by over 500 people including sector operators, media and wine lovers. What awaits us in 2023?

We have many international trips and various national events awaiting us, such as the return to Rome to Trinità dei Monti, but above all a great event on the Valpolicella Superiore in Venice in early summer. Venice is the city of Hemingway and the famous writer was very fond of the DOC Scaliger wine. Valpolicella Superiore is the wine on which 70% of our member companies are currently focusing the most for their business, so we thought of an important opportunity to tell about it and promote it. And Venice seemed like the perfect location to us.

La Stagione 2022/2023 del Teatro Ristori di Verona, aperta ad ottobre con il Jazz di Petrella, si conferma punto di riferimento artistico, per qualità e interdisciplinarità della proposta. Jazz, Danza, Barocca, Musical, Educational, Serate d’autore e Serate di Gala: oltre 40 eventi per celebrare i dieci anni del Teatro Ristori dalla riapertura alla città dopo i lavori di Fondazione Cariverona.

Accanto al Jazz, alla Danza e all’Educational, che hanno fatto del Ristori un Centro di riferimento nazionale, tante le novità in cartellone fino ad aprile 2023. Dall’8 febbraio all’11 marzo 2023 debutta il Ristori Baroque Festival, evento “diffuso” in città con dieci concerti-evento e incontri con artisti. INNOVATION AND TRADITION IN THE ARTISTIC SEASON WHICH CELEBRATES THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE THEATER SINCE ITS REOPENING TO THE CITY

The 2022/2023 Season of the Teatro Ristori in Verona, launched in October with Petrella's Jazz, confirms itself as an artistic point of reference, for its quality and interdisciplinarity. Jazz, Dance, Baroque, Musical, Educational, Signature Evenings and Gala Evenings: over 40 events to celebrate ten years of the Ristori Theater since its reopening to the city after the works of the Cariverona Foundation.

Alongside Jazz, Dance and Educational, which have made the Ristori a great in Italy, there are many new features on the bill until April 2023.

From 8 February to 11 March 2023, the Ristori Baroque Festival will make its debut, a "widespread" event in the city with ten concert-events and meetings with artists.

L’attività artistica 2022 della Fondazione Arena al Teatro Filarmonico si concluderà con una nuova produzione di La Bohème di Puccini nelle scenogra e di Juan Guillermo Nova e regia di Stefano Trespidi, che esordirà proprio durante la Vigilia di Natale (11, 14, 16, 18, dicembre), sotto la direzione di Alevtina Le e, alla guida dei protagonisti: Karen Gardeazabal (Mimi), Galeano Salas (Rodolfo), Giuliana Gianfaldoni (Musetta) e Gabriel Bermudez (Marcello). Prima di La Bohème, gli ultimi due concerti sinfonici della stagione, con altrettanti solisti di casa: il clarinettista Gianpiero Sobrino (11-12 novembre) che si misurerà con il direttore Christopher Franklin su musiche di Debussy e Galante e il pianista Edoardo Maria Strabbioli (2526 novembre) che concluderà la stagione sinfonica, guidato da Francesco Gilu o alle prese con musiche di Stravinski, Skriabin e Rimski Korsakov. Il 19 novembre andrà in scena pure il concerto dei nalisti del Concorso Pianistico Città di Verona, condotto sul podio da Paolo Spadaro Minitto. Il 31 dicembre ci sarà in ne il tradizionale concerto di ne anno il cui programma è ancora in de nizione.

La nuova stagione 2023 del Filarmonico avrà in totale 7 titoli d’opera e 12 concerti, con prime assolute e classici intramontabili, eseguite da grandi interpreti e giovani talenti, ma anche concerti per le famiglie. Sarà una stagione di forti aspettative, di ampio respiro, con tante formule per scegliere di rinnovare o riprendere il legame col teatro e il piacere di uscirne e ritrovarsi grazie alla musica.

L’attività operistica decollerà con Le Nozze di Figaro di Mozart (22-29 gennaio) in un allestimento della Fondazione Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine, curato nella regia, scene e costumi da Ivan Stefanutti, con la direzione orchestrale di Francesco Ommassini e Giulio Mastrototaro, Sara Blanch, Alessandro Luongo, Gilda Fiume e Annalisa Stroppa nei ruoli principali.

La seconda opera in programma (12-19 febbraio) sarà la celebre Aida verdiana realizzata di Franco Ze relli per il Teatro di Busseto nel 2001, in occasione del primo centenario della morte di Verdi. Vi apparirà nella direzione di Massimiliano Stefanelli, con Monica Conesa (Aida), Ivan Magri (Radames), Katevan Kemoklidze (Amneris), Youngjun Park (Amonasro), Antonio Di Matteo (Ram s).

Il terzo impegno operistico, prima della stagione estiva in Arena, sarà costituito dal Werther di Massenet (26 marzo -2 aprile) nell’allestimento del Teatro di OperaLombardia, con la regia di Stefano Vizioli, le scene di Emanuele Sinisi, i costumi di Anna Maria Heinrich e le Visual Imaginarium Creative Studio. Lo interpreteranno il protagonista Dmitry Korchak (Werther), con Gezim Myshketa (Albert), Youngjun Park (Le Bailli), Matteo Mezzaro (Schmidt), Vasilisa Berzhankaya/Chiara Tirotta (Charlotte).

La parte sinfonica decorrerà invece dal 24-25 febbraio, con il primo concerto guidato da Eckehrard Stier, impegnato nella colossale Quinta Sinfonia in do minore di Mahler. Lo seguiranno il direttore Enrico Onofri e il autista Pier Filippo Barbano[AM1] (3-4 marzo) per un programma improntato a musiche di Mozart e Haydn. Il 10 -11 marzo toccherà invece alla giovane direttrice Manuela Ranno e al violoncellista Santiago Canòn-Valencia a rontare un programma insolito con brani di Richard Strauss, Milhaud e Gulda. Aprile sarà un mese impegnativo per la sinfonica, con quattro concerti di la l’uno all’altro. Venerdì 7 e sabato 8 aprile andrà infatti in scena l’imponente Messa di Gloria di Rossini diretta da Francesco Ommassini, col soprano Marina Monzò, il mezzosoprano Chiara Tirotta, i tenori Dmitry Korchak/Matteo Roma e il basso Giorgi Manoshvili in veste di solisti. Lo seguirà (14-15 aprile) un concerto diretto da Antonio Pirolli su musiche di Beethoven e Mendelssohn e il 21-22 un appuntamento interamente dedicato a musiche di Richard Strauss condotto da Jaume Santonja. A completare gli impegni di aprile, il settimo concerto della stagione, diretto da Nicola Paszkowskj col violoncellista Massimiliano Martinelli per pagine di Mendelssohn, Schumann e Schubert. PROGRAM AT THE PHILARMONIC THEATER UNTIL 30 APRIL 2023

Artistic activity of the year 2022 of the Arena di Verona Foundation at the Philarmonic Theater will end with a new production of the opera La Bohème by Puccini, set by Juan Guillermo Nova and directed by Stefano Trespidi, which will debut right on Christmas Eve (11, 14, 16, 18, December), under the direction of Alevtina Le e, leading the protagonists: Karen Gardeazabal (Mimi), Galeano Salas (Rodolfo), Giuliana Gianfaldoni (Musetta) and Gabriel Bermudez (Marcello). April will be a busy month for symphonic music, with four concerts in a row. On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th the imposing Messa di Gloria by Gioacchino Rossini will be staged directed by Francesco Ommassini, with the soprano Marina Monzò, the mezzo-soprano Chiara Tirotta, the tenors Dmitry Korchak/ Matteo Roma and bass Giorgi Manoshvili as soloists.

Following, on April 14th and 15th, a concert conducted by Antonio Pirolli on music by Beethoven e Mendelssohn and on 21st-22nd an appointment entirely dedicated to Richard Strauss conducted by Jaume Santonja. To complete the April commitments, the seventh concert of the season directed by Nicola Paszkowskj will see the cellist Massimiliano Martinelli playing the music of Mendelssohn, Schumann and Schubert.

Il programma della rassegna 2022-2023, ideato dal direttore Marco Vinco, chiuderà il 21 maggio 2023 con un concerto interamente dedicato a Bach interpretato dall’Orchestra Frau Musika diretta dal maestro Andrea Buccarella. The artistic activity of the Teatro Salieri in Legnago continues at full speed with the 20222023 Season which will open on November 12 with a festive Baroque concert dedicated to Salieri, Vivaldi, Veracini and Geminiani, performed by the Venice Baroque Orchestra conducted by Maestro Andrea Marcon. The program of the 2022-2023 review, conceived by the conductor Marco Vinco, will close on 21 May 2023 with a concert entirely dedicated to Bach interpreted by the Frau Musika Orchestra conducted by Maestro Andrea Buccarella. In between, a range of shows in the name of happiness, from classical to contemporary prose, from baroque to symphonic music, from dance to comic theater, to gospel, without forgetting the shows for the little ones and for their families.

IL RITORNO DEL GRANDE TEATRO VERONESE

all’ 8 novembre al 2 aprile si terrà al Teatro Nuovo l’edizione 2022-23 della rassegna Il Grande Teatro, organizzata dal Comune di Verona in collaborazione col Teatro Stabile di Verona – Centro di Produzione Teatrale. Proposti otto spettacoli nell’arco di sei mesi: due classicissimi come Shakespeare e Pirandello, spettacoli di origine letteraria e cinematogra ca, un tocco di drammaturgia “made in USA” e un omaggio a Pasolini nel centenario dalla nascita.

OTTO SPETTACOLI TRA CLASSICI, LETTERATURA CONTEMPORANEA, CINEMA E UN OMAGGIO A PASOLINI DA NOVEMBRE AD APRILE

It proposes eight shows over six months: two classics like Shakespeare and Pirandello, then original shows , literary and cinematic, a touch of dramaturgy “made in USA” and a tribute to Pasolini on the centenary of his birth.

"The Great Veronese Theater Review - underlines the councilor Marta Ugolini – nally goes back to keeping itself in full, with the proposal of a program of great cultural depth and quality. Through the lyrics proposed the audience will nd themselves travelling in stories told by great classics of literature, but also in new experimental visions, inan experiential path that only the theatre knows how to make us try.”

“La Grande Rassegna teatrale veronese – sottolinea l’assessora Marta Ugolini – torna nalmente a tenersi per intero, con la proposta di un cartellone di grande spessore culturale e di qualità. Con i testi proposti il pubblico si ritroverà a viaggiare in storie narrate da grandi classici della letteratura, ma anche in nuove visioni sperimentali, in un percorso esperienziale che solo il teatro sa far provare”. Ad inaugurare la rassegna, dall’ 8 al 13 novembre, “Mine vaganti”, spettacolo di Ferzan Özpetek che rma la sua prima regia teatrale portando in scena l’adattamento di uno dei suoi capolavori cinematogra ci, “Mine vaganti” del 2010.

Dal 22 al 27 novembre, il programma prosegue con “Pà”, omaggio a Pier Paolo Pasolini nel centenario della nascita. La regia è di Marco Tullio Giordana, che rma anche la drammaturgia a quattro mani con Luigi Lo Cascio, protagonista dello spettacolo. Dal 13 al 18 dicembre in programma “Sogno di una notte di mezza estate” di William Shakespeare. In scena ben quattordici attori, molti dei quali giovanissimi, alla loro prima prova importante.

La quarta opera in cartellone – la prima del 2023 – è “Così è (se vi pare)” di Luigi Pirandello. In programma dal 24 al 29 gennaio, si avvale della regia di Luca De Fusco e ha per protagonista Eros Pagni. La rassegna prosegue dal 31 gennaio al 5 febbraio con “La valigia”, del giornalista-scrittore russo Sergej Dovlatov scomparso nel 1990 non ancora cinquantenne. Ne è protagonista Giuseppe Battiston con la regia di Paola Rota. Dal 14 al 19 febbraio va in scena “L’attesa” dello scrittore veronese Remo Binosi scomparso nel 2002. Protagoniste Anna Foglietta e Paola Minaccioni con la regia Michela Cescon. Lo spettacolo “La vita davanti a sè”, in programma dal 14 al 19 marzo, è il penultimo appuntamento della rassegna.

Ne è protagonista Silvio Orlando che dello spettacolo, prodotto da Cardellino srl, rma anche produzione e regia. Con lui, in scena, l’Ensemble dell’Orchestra Terra Madre. Chiude Il Grande Teatro, dal 28 marzo al 2 aprile, “Il nodo”, pluripremiato dramma del 2012 della statunitense Johnna Adams. Con la regia di Serena Sinigaglia ne sono protagoniste Ambra Angiolini e Arianna Scommegna.

La quarta opera in cartellone (dal 20 al 23 dicembre) è “Scusa sono in riunione… ti posso richiamare?” di Gabriele Pignotta che, oltre a esserne l’autore e il regista, ne è il protagonista insieme a Vanessa Incontrada.

The 24th edition of the festival Divertiamoci a Teatro, organised by the Teatro Stabile di Verona, will return from 15 November 2022 to 24 March 2023. An eagerly awaited edition that, with its usual reminder of the "fun" marks, with its eight shows, a return to the normality of ever. The fourth play on the bill (from 20 to 23 December) is “Scusa sono in riunione… ti posso richiamare?” (Sorry I'm in a meeting... can I call you back?) by Gabriele Pignotta who, in addition to being the author and the director, is also the protagonist together with Vanessa Incontrada.

Nel quattrocentesimo anniversario della nascita Molière, troviamo in cartellone (dal 17 al 20 gennaio) “Le preziose ridicole” con Benedicta Boccoli, Lorenza Mario e Stefano Artissunch. Liberamente tratta da Molière, la commedia si avvale dell’adattamento e della regia dello stesso Artissunch ed è ambientata nel mondo dell’avanspettacolo in una Roma degli anni Quaranta durante la guerra. La rassegna prosegue (dal 7 al 10 febbraio) con una produzione della Pirandelliana: “Trappola per topi”, l’intramontabile capolavoro di Agatha Christie entrato nel Guinness dei primati per essere rimasto in cartellone nello stesso teatro, il New Ambassadors di Londra, ininterrottamente dal 1952 no al

febbraio 2020 quando il Covid-19 costrinse i teatri alla chiusura. Con la regia di Giorgio Gallione ne è protagonista Lodo Guenzi, conosciuto dal grande pubblico come componente del trio “Lo stato sociale” che arrivò secondo al festival di Sanremo del 2018. Dal 7 al 10 marzo il penultimo appuntamento della rassegna: “Arlecchino muto per spavento”, spettacolo ispirato al canovaccio del Settecento Arlequin muet par crainte di Luigi Riccoboni del 1717. In questo ra nato omaggio alla Commedia dell’Arte a interpretare Arlecchino è Marco Zoppello che cura anche la regia. Accanto a lui Sara Allevi, Marie Coutance, Matteo Cremon, Anna De Franceschi, Pierdomenico Simone, Michele

Nei panni dei tre inveterati scapoli parigini Giorgio Lupano, Attilio Fontana e Gabriele Pignotta che rma la regia. “Film di una donna sugli uomini rivolto specialmente alle donne” lo de nì il Morandini sottolineando (da allora sono passati quasi quarant’anni) quanto fosse divertente vedere tre uomini alle prese con pannolini e biberon. The show is produced by a. Associate Artists. At the heart of this “comedy of misunderstandings” the obsession with visibility and the mania to excel at all costs. To start 2023, from 10 to 13 January, Natalino Balasso with his “Dizionario Balasso (colpi di tag)” -Balasso dictionary (hits of tags), fun excursus in the contemporary world where words become “tags”, where every concept is a closed box of which we only read the label: the tag.

Directed by Giorgio Gallione, the protagonist is Lodo Guenzi, known by the general public as part of the trio “Lo stato sociale” which was second place at the Sanremo Festival in 2018.

From 7 to 10 March the penultimate appointment of the festival: “Arlecchino muto per spavento” (Arlecchino mute for fear), a show inspired by the canovaccio of the eighteenth century Arlequin muet par crainte by Luigi Riccoboni of 1717. In this re ned tribute to the Commedia dell’Arte the main character Arlecchino is played by Marco Zoppello who also takes care of the direction. On stage with

him there will be Sara Allevi, Marie Coutance, Matteo Cremon, Anna De Franceschi, Pierdomenico Simone, Michele Mori, Stefano Rota and Maria Luisa Zaltron.

To bring the show to a close, from 21 to 24 March, is “Tre uomini e una culla” (Three Men and a Cradle), theatrical version of Coline Serreau’s 1985 lm of the same name. In the role of three inveterate Parisian bachelors there will be Giorgio Lupano, Attilio Fontana and Gabriele Pignotta who also signs the direction.

Museo Nazionale archeologico di Verona Dal 26 ottobre

Il nuovo Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Verona, accolto nell’ex Carcere Asburgico di San Tommaso, dal 26 si è arricchita di una nuova, ampia sezione interamente riservata all’Età del Ferro, andata ad aggiungersi a quella dedicata alla Preistoria e Protostoria, “Agli albori della creatività umana”, con la quale il museo era stato inaugurato lo scorso 17 febbraio. La nuova sezione, curata sotto il pro lo scienti co da Giovanna Falezza, direttrice del Museo, e da Luciano Salzani, già funzionario della Soprintendenza veronese, è stata allestita da Chiara Matteazzi, in continuità con il precedente allestimento museale. Ad essere documentata è la storia del territorio veronese, luogo di incontri e contatti che qui si intrecciarono tra Veneti, Etruschi e Reti. L’Età del Ferro si sviluppò nel corso del primo millennio a.C., volgendo al termine con le prime manifestazioni dell’arrivo dei Romani, all’incirca nel 2^ secolo a.C. Sono soprattutto i ricchissimi materiali rinvenuti negli scavi delle necropoli ad fornire i contenuti della nuova sezione.

National Archaeological Museum of Verona From 26 October

The new National Archaeological Museum of Verona, housed in the former Habsburg prison of San Tommaso, has been enriched with a new, large section entirely dedicated to the Iron Age. It has been added to the one dedicated to Prehistory and Protohistory, "At the dawn of human creativity", with which the museum was inaugurated on 17 February. The new section, supervised from a scienti c point of view by Giovanna Falezza, director of the Museum, and by Luciano Salzani, former o cial of the Superintendency of Verona, was set up by Chiara Matteazzi, in continuity with the previous museum layout. What is documented is the history of the Verona area, a place of meetings and contacts that here connected between the Veneti, Etruscans and Reti. The Iron Age developed during the rst millennium BC, coming to an end with the rst manifestations of the arrival of the Romans, around the 2nd century BC. Above all, the very rich materials found in the excavations of the necropolises provide the contents of the new section.

“Kandinsky e le avanguardie. Punto, linea e super ce” presenta una ra nata selezione di capolavori del Novecento internazionale e italiano, opere gra che che il maestro russo realizza nel 1922, quando insegna presso l’importante o cina creativa rappresentata dalla scuola del Bauhaus. Le tecniche sono diverse, ciascuna scelta da Kandinsky per il suo carattere unico: la litogra a combina segni e colori per produrre un’immagine che si avvicina il più possibile a un dipinto, la xilogra a è invece caratterizzata dall’interazione di primo piano e sfondo, mentre la puntasecca permette precisione di segno e studio delle linee. I “piccoli mondi” diventano per Kandinsky microcosmi autonomi, quasi delle piccole galassie in dialogo le une con le altre. The exhibitions presents a re ned selection of international and Italian 20th century masterpieces, graphic works that the Russian master created in 1922, when he was teaching at the important creative workshop represented by the Bauhaus school. The techniques are di erent, each chosen by Kandinsky for their unique personalities: lithography combines marks and colors to produce an image that comes as close as possible to a painting, woodcut is instead characterized by the interaction of foreground and background, while the drypoint allows precision of sign and study of the lines. For Kandinsky, the "small worlds" become autonomous microcosms, almost like small galaxies in dialogue with each other. Combined with Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Enrico Prampolini, Luigi Veronesi, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Yves Tanguy, Victor Brauner and Jean Arp.

Six thematic sections, starting with the biographical portrait of the great New York artist, 150 works including drawings, engravings, screen prints, sculptures and postcards. An exhibition and a pressing journey into the eccentric world of Warhol, the pop icon par excellence who intend to investigate the poetics of the genius of Pop Art, focusing on his representation of American society and culture. The corpus of works includes the brands that populated the advertising imagery widespread in the United States between the 1960s and 1970s, such as the famous Campbell's soup. “Robert Capa. L’Opera 1932-1954”, a cura di Gabriel Bauret, è il nuovo appuntamento con la fotogra a internazionale proposto dalla Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, ancora una volta a ancata dal Comune di Rovigo e dall’Accademia dei Concordi. La mostra, che segue per qualità ed originalità quella recente di Robert Doisneau, consta di ben 366 fotogra e selezionate dagli archivi dell’agenzia Magnum Photos e ripercorre le tappe principali della sua carriera, dando il giusto spazio ad alcune delle opere più iconiche che hanno incarnato la storia della fotogra a del Novecento. L’esposizione non si limiterà alle rappresentazioni della guerra che hanno forgiato la leggenda di Capa, ma anche altri temi come quello delle migrazioni delle popolazioni (in Spagna e in Cina, in particolare). E tra un’immagine e l’altra, si pro la anche l’identità di Capa.

La mostra si apre con una grande installazione immersiva che riproduce la Cappella degli Scrovegni di Padova,il capolavoro assoluto di Giotto. Una so sticata videoproiezione, costruita partendo dalle immagini ad altissima risoluzione realizzate dall’Università di Padova e messe a disposizione dai Musei Civici di Padova, “trasporta” virtualmente i visitatori e le visitatrici del Mart all’interno del famosissimo ciclo di a reschi del XIV secolo, Patrimonio Mondiale UNESCO. Seguendo un ordine cronologico e tematico l’esposizione prosegue tra opere di grandi autori e autrici del XX e XXI secolo accomunati dalla passione per la gura di Giotto, studiato, imitato, o preso a modello di perfezione e spiritualità.

Robert Capa. L'Opera 1932-1954”, curated by Gabriel Bauret, is the new appointment with international photography proposed by the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation, once again supported by the Municipality of Rovigo and the Accademia dei Concordi. The exhibition, which follows the recent one by Robert Doisneau in terms of quality and originality, consists of 366 photographs selected from the archives of the Magnum Photos agency and retraces the main stages of his career, giving the right space to some of the most iconic works that have embodied the history of twentieth-century photography. The exhibition will not be limited to the representations of the war that forged the legend of Capa, but will also cover other themes such as that of population migrations (in Spain and China, in particular). And between one image and another, Capa's identity also emerges.

GIOTTO AND THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

The exhibition opens with a large immersive installation that reproduces the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, Giotto's absolute masterpiece. A sophisticated video projection, built starting from the very high resolution images created by the University of Padua and made available by the Civic Museums of Padua, virtually "transports" the visitors of the Mart inside the famous cycle of fourteenth century frescoes, UNESCO World Heritage.
