Il laboratorio “Bottoni e non solo” prende forma nel 2008. Alla sperimentazione si affianca un percorso di formazione con Rosanna Cautero e con i maestri Giovanni Cimatti, Giancarlo Scapin, Terry Davies, Robert Cooper, Luca Tripaldi, Martha Pachon Rodriguez e Riccardo Biavati. L’attività del laboratorio si caratterizza, sin da subito, nella realizzazione di bottoni, con la volontà di mettere al centro l’importanza per le piccole cose e per la creatività che da esse può scaturire. Attraverso diverse argille e tecniche, prendono forma manufatti che raccontano un pezzo di storia della Terra e dell’Arte della Ceramica.
The “Bottoni e non solo” workshop started to take shape in 2012 as part of a path of experimentation and training carried out by Elena Borgna, Rosanna Cautero, alongside masters Giovanni Cimatti, Giancarlo Scapin, Terry Davies, Robert Cooper, Luca Tripaldi, Martha Pachon Rodriguez and Riccardo Biavati. Right from its very beginning, the workshop’s activities have been characterised by desire to focus on the importance of the little things in life. By using different types of clay and techniques, buttons take shape, offering scope for one’s own creativity as well as that of others, which narrate a piece of the history of the Earth and of the Ceramic Art.
I disegni per gli “Studi sulla forma dei pesci e delle carene in relazione alla penetrazione nell’acqua” si fondono e prendono forma in una ciotola. Il gres riprende il colore degli inchiostri di Leonardo, ossido di rame e cristallina a grosso spessore restituiscono il colore e la profondità dell’acqua.
The drawings made for the “Studies of the shape of fish and ship’s prow in relation to their penetration into water” are combined and take shape in a bowl. The stoneware recalls the colour of the inks used by Leonardo, copper oxide and small, thicklyglazed, crystalline effect tiles represent the colour and depth of the water.
