En 1987, trois passionnés de glisse et amateurs de sensations fortes fabriquent dans les Alpes françaises des snow-boards sous leur marque Free Surf. Ils développent par la suite une gamme de skis « made in France » et la société est baptisée Bohême en 1998. Jacques Ruchon, inconditionnel de la marque, reprend l’entreprise en 2013 et entend bien s’appuyer sur son savoir-faire unique pour renforcer son identité. La société s’installe dans de nouveaux locaux à Chabeuil, au pied du Vercors, et acquiert une notoriété internationale. Dans les ateliers sont fabriqués à la main des skis d’exception, en série ou créés sur-mesure à la demande des clients. Une équipe de menuisiers et ébénistes réalisent ici les rêves des passionnés de glisse.
In 1987, three snowboard enthusiasts and thrill-seekers were making snowboards in the French Alps under their Free Surf brand. They then developed a range of Made in France skis and renamed the company Bohême in 1998. Jacques Ruchon, a fan of the brand, bought the company in 2013 and planned to make use of its unique expertise to strengthen its identity. The company moved to new facilities in Chabeuil, in the Vercors foothills and gained an international following. Exceptional skis are handmade in the workshops as part of a series or custommade for individual customers. Here, a team of carpenters and woodworkers makes the dreams of snowboard fans come true.
