f we needed hard-hitting proof that the car industry is experiencing the biggest revolution in its history, here it is: there's a new Ford Mustang on the market, but instead of being a spinoff of a two-door coupé with a huge V8 engine under the bonnet, the Mach-E has been transformed into an SUV and it's powered by electricity. Ford had no doubts in giving its first electric SUV the same name as its model with the most history, even giving it the GT acronym, reserved for the best-performing versions of the Mustang. Ford's new electric has caused ripples in the heart of the American
brand and promises to offer sensations at the wheel worthy of the most famous sports car that America has given to the world. The Mach-E GT hits the market with 487 horsepower and 860Nm of torque, which results in a 0-100km/h acceleration of just 3.7 seconds when the Untamed Plus mode is engaged. The 88kWh battery offers up to 500km of autonomy on the WLTP cycle and can be charged at 150kW superchargers. In 45 minutes, it's possible to add up to 80% of capacity.
