Three years on, this commitment is still reflected, and indeed strengthened, in such key projects as the St Elizabeth’s Catholic primary school featured here. Located in Hocking, the $1 million upgrade was completed by Castle Projects in collaboration with another company noted in the industry for its focus on first-class client service, design excellence and meticulous project management: Parry and Rosenthal Architects. The scope of the work comprised: ■ Enclosing the existing covered assembly building and adding an acoustic ceiling and floor finishes internally ■ Constructing a new library building ■ Completing external landscaping and paving ■ Adding a concrete ramp and stairs ■ Extending the existing covered walkway One of the main challenges, according to project manager Jonathan Kyle, was that the school was fully operational at the time, which meant the fencing and children’s movement had to be continually altered at various stages to complete the works.
