Abstract The number of healthy life years among men in Võru County has dropped against overall male population of Estonia, 48.5 and 54.5 years respectively, owing to cardiovascular diseases, risk behaviour and mental health problems. Based on the project’s short pre-survey results, a man in Võru County provides a positive assessment of his health despite perceived health problems. Heavy workload yet requires more contribution to his well-being from the employer in terms of health promotion and work organization. Evidence-based research has shown that raising men’s health awareness is facilitated by the workplace health promotion programmes. The objective of Development Project is to map and improve in Võru County the health behaviour of men (including the ones who had been sent to the companies for practical training) in the work environment by contact and web-based health promotion intervention „TÖÖ.ME(E)S.TER”. The project participants will see their work-related physical and mental wellbeing improved through better health behaviour. The intervention will lead to a unique work environment intervention programme for health behaviour promotion among men.
