Президент России Владимир Путин подписал Указ об утверждении Стратегии развития Арктической зоны РФ и обеспечении национальной безопасности на период до 2035 г. Стратегия разработана в целях реализации Основ государственной политики Российской Федерации в Арктике на период до 2035 г., утвержденных Указом главы государства 5 марта 2020 г. Стратегия определяет основные направления, задачи и меры по развитию Арктической зоны, а также механизмы, этапы и ожидаемые результаты их реализации. «Арктика — стратегический регион. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving The Strategy for the Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and Ensuring the National Security for the Period Until 2035. The Strategy is developed to implement the Fundamentals of State Policy of the Russian Federation in the Arctic for the Period up to 2035, approved by the Decree of the Head of State on March 5, 2020.The Strategy defines the main directions, tasks and measures for the development of the Arctic zone, as well as mechanisms, stages and implementation results expected. “The Arctic is a strategic region. This territory is of global importance for our country and for ensuring its security. In the decree, the president set specific goals for the development of the country’s Arctic zone. First of all, these are the goals related to improving the quality of life of 2.5 million citizens living in the Arctic zone, the goals related to the economic growth of the Arctic regions and the development of the Northern Sea Route as a global transport corridor. For this end, we need to speed the work and development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. “We must fulfill the instructions of the head of state to develop the Arctic zone and strengthen the role of Russia in this strategically important region of the world,” commented Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, RF Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
