EDITORIAL

Απέναντι σε αυτόν τον παραλογισμό, τόσο εγώ όσο και η Axel επιλέγουμε ένα νέο επιχειρηματικό μοντέλο, υπεύθυνο απέναντι όχι μόνο στον άνθρωπο αλλά και στον πλανήτη. Αναλύουμε όλες μας τις δραστηριότητες που έχουν ανθρακικό αντίκτυπο και αναζητάμε τους τρόπους για την μείωση ή την απαλοιφή του. Καθώς ο σημερινός πληθυσμός της γης ανέρχεται στα 7,7 δισεκατομμύρια άτομα, ενώ 100 χρόνια πριν, το 1922, ήταν μόλις κάτω από τα 2 δισεκατομμύρια, είναι περισσότερο από προφανές ότι πρέπει να είμαστε πολύ πιο προσεκτικοί σε κάθε πράξη μας που έχει περιβαλλοντικό αντίκτυπο. Με τη βοήθεια της τεχνολογίας, στην Axel εξετάζουμε κάθε νέα και καινοτόμα μέθοδο που μας επιτρέπει να γινόμαστε περισσότερο υπεύθυνοι οικολογικά. Στη νέα γκάμα προϊόντων RECYCLE επιλέξαμε το Recycled PVB, που προέρχεται από ανακυκλωμένο γυαλί σπασμένων παρμπρίζ, υλικά από ανακυκλωμένα πλαστικά, καθώς και υφάσματα ECOVERO, που προέρχονται από πιστοποιημένες ανανεώσιμες πηγές φύτευσης δένδρων. Οι επιλογές μας σταθμίζουν την ποιότητα της πρώτης ύλης, την αντοχή της και φυσικά την δυνατότητα να αποδώσει εξαιρετικά τα χρωματικά και σχεδιαστικά χαρακτηριστικά της Axel, για τα οποία έχουμε κερδίσει την εμπιστοσύνη των γυναικών σε όλο τον κόσμο. Και όλα τα παραπάνω, σε ένα λογικό και προσιτό κόστος. Τόσο εγώ όσο και όλοι οι συνεργάτες μου στην Axel, παρακολουθούμε συνεχώς τις εξελίξεις στον τομέα των βιώσιμων και ανακυκλωμένων υλικών στην υφαντουργία και δεσμευόμαστε να έχουμε σε πρώτο πλάνο όλων μας των πρακτικών όχι μόνο τον άνθρωπο, αλλά ολόκληρο τον πλανήτη. Ταυτόχρονα είμαι βέβαιη, ότι σε αυτή μας την προσπάθεια θα σας έχουμε, όλες και όλους, συμμάχους και συνοδοιπόρους. Γι’ αυτό, σας ευχαριστώ.

O ΠΛΑΝΗΤΗΣ ΧΡΕΙΑΖΕΤΑΙ ΤΟΝ ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟ ΜΑΣ

ν αφήσουμε λίγο στην άκρη τον εαυτό μας και δούμε τη μεγάλη εικόνα, θα διαπιστώσουμε πολύ εύκολα ότι αυτό που θεωρούμε σπίτι μας δεν είναι ένα οίκημα σε μια συγκεκριμένη διεύθυνση. Είναι ολόκληρος ο πλανήτης. Αυτός είναι που μας επέτρεψε να υπάρξουμε και να εξελιχτούμε, αυτός είναι που μας παρέχει τα πάντα και μας συντηρεί. Και χωρίς αυτόν, δεν μπορούμε να υπάρξουμε. Στην πράξη όμως έχουμε αποδείξει ότι καμία από τις παραπάνω απλές παραδοχές δεν τηρούμε. Αυτό που δεν κάνουμε στο σπίτι μας ο καθένας, καθημερινούς βανδαλισμούς και καταστροφές δηλαδή, το πράττουμε χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη στη γη. Στο κοινό μας σπίτι, που χωρίς αυτό δεν υπάρχει ζωή. Πόσο παράδοξο και αυτοκαταστροφικό είναι αυτό; Η απάντηση είναι εύκολη, αλλά η λύση εξαιρετικά δύσκολη όταν στη συνάρτηση μπαίνουν τα αμέτρητα ατομικά συμφέροντα. Πάρτε για παράδειγμα τον πόλεμο, που εσχάτως ενέκυψε ακόμα πιο κοντά μας με πρωτοφανή σφοδρότητα. Όλοι γνωρίζουμε ότι μετά από έναν πόλεμο υπάρχουν μόνο χαμένοι. Κι’ όμως, ακόμα και στον 21ο αιώνα, ακόμα και στην πολιτισμένη Ευρώπη, αυτός συνεχίζει να αποτελεί μέσο επίλυσης πολιτικών ή οικονομικών διαφορών. Προσωπικά δεν μπορώ να συλλάβω την τεράστια αυτή ανατροπή της λογικής: Χρειαζόμαστε έναν εύρωστο πλανήτη και παρόλα αυτά έχουμε κάνει οτιδήποτε περνά από το χέρι μας για να τον αποδυναμώσουμε. Χρειαζόμαστε ειρήνη, αλληλεγγύη και συνεργασία για προσωπική και κοινωνική ευημερία και αντί αυτών επιλέγουμε την αντιπαράθεση, τον ανταγωνισμό, τη σύγκρουση.

Let’s respect our planet

f we step aside for a while and see the big picture, it is easy to realize that what we think as our home is not a building in a particular address. Planet Earth is our home. It is what has allowed us to exist, to evolve, it provides us throughout millions of years with everything we need to live and survive. Without it, we cannot exist. In practice, however, we have proven that we are not committed to any of these mere admissions. We would never vandalize and destroy our own home, but we are constantly doing this to our planet, our shared home, without which there is no life. How paradoxical and self-destructive is that? The answer is simple, but the solution is incredibly hard, when there are plenty of personal gains involved. Take, for example, the war of unprecedented intensity that has broken out recently, even closer to our borders. We all know that war has only losers. Yet even in the civilized Europe of the 21st century, war is still regarded a means of resolving financial problems or political disputes. Personally, I cannot conceive the immense contradiction that lies in this logic: Even though we need a robust planet, we are doing everything we can to debilitate it. Our world craves for peace, solidarity, and collaboration for a personal and social prosperity, and instead, rivalry, disputes and conflicts are what we gravitate towards. In the face of this absurdity, both Axel and I opt for a new business model, responsible not only to humans but also to the planet as a whole. We break down all our activities that have a carbon impact and we search for ways to reduce or eliminate it.

Knowing that the planet’s population today is 7.7 billion, while only 100 years ago, in 1922, it was under 2 billion, it is more than obvious that we have to be much more careful in anything we do that has an environmental impact. At Axel, with the help of technology, we test every new and innovative method that allows us to become more environmentally friendly. In the new range of RECYCLE products, we have chosen Recycled PVB, which comes from recycled broken windshield glass, recycled plastics, as well as ECOVERO fabrics, which come from certified renewable sources of tree planting. Our choices take the fullest account of the quality of the raw material, its durability and, of course, the ability to deliver the excellent color and design features of Axel, for which we have gained the trust of women across the world. And all the above at reasonable and affordable prices. All my associates at Axel and I are keeping track of the developments in the field of sustainable and recyclable materials in the textile industry, and we are committed to placing the focus of all our practices not just on humans, but on the entire planet. At the same time, I am certain that in this effort we have all of you by our side, allies and companions for a better future. Thank you for that!

Η Τοσκάνη έχει πολλές φυσικές ιαματικές πηγές σε όλη την επικράτειά της, από τη Lunigiana προς τα βόρεια έως τη Val d'Orcia στο νότο. Από αυτές, ξεχωρίζουμε και σας προτείνουμε τις Bagni San Filippo, San Giuliano Terme και Saturnia. Οι πρώτες και οι τελευταίες μάλιστα, συνδυάζονται με εντυπωσιακούς καταρράκτες. Next stop: Siena. If you have already watched the James Bond film “Quantum of Solace”, you have taken a small taste of this magical place. It is probably the most beautiful medieval city in Italy. It is built on three hills, surrounded by a magnificent terrain and breathtaking views. The heart of the city beats at the shell-shaped central square known as Piazza del Campo, which is dominated by the red Palazzo Pubblico and the famous tower, Torre del Mangia. Siena Cathedral and the Palazzo Pubblico are the symbols of Siena and most interesting attractions. The inner courtyard has entrances to the Torre del Mangia and the Civic Museum. If you are feeling fit enough, it’s worth taking the climb of about 500 steps to reach the top. The wonderful views of Siena and its surroundings will totally reward you. The city of Pisa with the famous Leaning Tower is a must in your roundtrip in Tuscany. However, Pisa has also many other remarkable monuments to admire. Visit the Cathedral (Duomo) and the Baptistery (Battistero). Walk around the square and see the Sacred Field (Campo Santo), the Cathedral Museum and the Sinopie Museum. Don’t leave Siena before trying cecina: the famous gluten-free flatbread made with chickpea flour, water, oil, salt and black paper. A whole new experience for your mouth! Starting from the north, the fascinating area called Cinque Terre is a unique sight for the eye. The five settlements composing the area, from south to north, are Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. All of them have been designated as UNESCO world heritage sites and their rocky shores hide small heavenly bays. Versilia is mostly sandy, just like Maremma at the southern tip. The area known as the Etruscan coast and Val di Cornia also have many beaches with fine sand and crystal-clear water. Other beautiful sandy beaches are the Marina di Alberese, the coastal dunes in the south of Ansedonia and the beaches around Orbetello Lagoon (in Gianella). It is worth mentioning that all these beaches and a total of 19 along the Tuscan coast, have been awarded with Blue Flags.

Στη Φλωρεντία, αναζητήστε την Trattoria La Casalinga όπου θα παραγγείλετε Bistecca alla Fiorentina, μια μπριζόλα T- bone από μια τοπική ράτσα αγελάδων, την Chianina. W hen to v isit and where to stay The ideal time to visit and enjoy the beauties of Tuscany without busy crowds is in the spring (except for the Catholic Easter period) and also in June and September. A flight to Florence is the most convenient way to start off your trip, unless you prefer to travel by car, starting from the northern land border, or from east via the port of Ancona. There are endless options for accommodation, from rooms in towers and tower-like buildings, to agritourism accommodation, five-star resorts and spas to small and cheap rental apartments. Florence is of course an ideal base for excursions, unless you want to be close to the sea, in which case you should choose the amazingly picturesque area of Cinque Terre, Viareggio, or the province of Grosseto, on the bay across the island of Elba.

Η Sandra Bullock γεννήθηκε τον Ιούλιο του 1964. Η μητέρα της ήταν Γερμανίδα τραγουδίστρια όπερας και δασκάλα φωνητικής, ο πατέρας της ήταν Αμερικανός στρατιωτικός και επίσης δούλευε ως voice coach. Sandra Bullock was born in 1964. Her mother was a German opera singer and voice teacher, her father was an army employee and also worked as a voice coach. He has a younger sister, Gesine. Until the age of 12, Bullock was raised in Nuremberg, Germany and Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. As a child, she accompanied her mother to her opera tours in Europe and she often took small parts in her opera productions. She did ballet and voice classes, and when she got back to America, she performed in school theater productions. So, from a quite early age, she revealed and explored her artistic side, which she probably inherited from her parents. When she moved to Manhattan to pursue her acting career she worked, among other things, as a waitress and bartender to be able to afford the expensive cost of living in the city.

Όπως έχει δηλώσει η ίδια, μικρή ήταν αυτό που λέμε «αγοροκόριτσο» και πάντα έβλεπε ανταγωνιστικά τα αγόρια της γειτονιάς της. Είχε το πείσμα να τους κερδίζει στα παιχνίδια. Αυτό τη βοήθησε και στη μετέπειτα καριέρα της, υποδυόμενη απίστευτα δυνατές και δυναμικές γυναίκες στις ταινίες της. «Αναγκαστικά υπήρξα αγοροκόριτσο. Υπήρχαν τόσα πολλά αγόρια στη γειτονιά και δεν ήθελα να με αφήνουν έξω από τα παιχνίδια τους, οπότε ασχολούμουν με όσα περισσότερα αθλήματα μπορούσα! This helped her in her later career to play strong and competing women. “I had to go tomboy. There were so many boys in the neighborhood, and I didn’t want to be left out of their games, so I was involved in as many sports as I could! I was great at skateboarding,” she said in an interview. Her personal life has often become the source of tabloid interest, although she always tries to keep a low profile. Her most episodic relationship was with her exhusband, motorcyclist Jesse James. They met in 2003 and married two years later. The couple lived with the three children that James had from previous relationships. 2010 was one of the most important years for Sandra Bullock, as she won her first Oscar, the Best Actress Academy Award for the film “The Blind Side”, which is based on the true story about a family that adopted a homeless young man who went on to become a successful rugby player. Bullock turned down the lead role three times before finally saying “yes” and seeing her career skyrocket. Το «Χαμένη πόλη», με τον Channing Tatum, εξιστορείται η ξεκαρδιστική περιπέτεια μιας συγγραφέα και ενός μοντέλου οι οποίοι βρίσκονται στην αναζήτηση μιας αρχαίας χαμένης πόλης. Περιμένουμε και το «Bullet Train», όπου συμμετέχουν επίσης οι Brad Pitt και Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Η υπόθεση θέλει πέντε πληρωμένους δολοφόνους με αντικρουόμενα συμφέρονται, εγκλωβισμένους σε ένα από τα πιο γρήγορα τρένα στο Τόκιο.

About the unequal treatment of women in Hollywood, Sandra Bullock does not hesitate to speak openly. Η διαδρομή έως εκεί είναι κουραστική, αλλά ανταμείβει τον επισκέπτη. Η θέα είναι εκπληκτική. Περιηγηθείτε στα γραφικά σοκάκια που μυρίζουν γιασεμί και βασιλικό. Κάντε μια βόλτα στο κεντρικό καλντερίμι, τη Μεγάλη Στράτα, που διασχίζει όλη τη Χώρα και είναι γεμάτο με όμορφα μαγαζάκια που πωλούν τα πάντα, αλλά και καφενεία και ουζερί που σερβίρουν τοπικές νοστιμιές. Στην όμορφη πλατεία της Αιώνιας Ποίησης (ή Πλατεία Μπρουκ) θα δείτε το άγαλμα του Ρούπερτ Μπρουκ (Άγγλου ρομαντικού ποιητή που πέθανε σε ένα γαλλικό νοσοκομειακό πλοίο στα ανοιχτά του νησιού στον Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο και τάφηκε στη Σκύρο) και θα απολαύσετε τη φανταστική θέα στο Αιγαίο. Στη Χώρα, κάτω από το κάστρο, αξίζει να δείτε και το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο, με εκθέματα από διάφορες ιστορικές περιόδους, πολλά από τα οποία έχουν βρεθεί στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο του Παλαμαρίου. Επίσης υπάρχει αίθουσα αφιερωμένη στο παραδοσιακό σκυριανό σπίτι, με όλα τα δωμάτια, τα διακοσμητικά και τα έπιπλά του. Στον ίδιο χώρο θα δείτε παραδοσιακές φορεσιές, κεντήματα και κεραμικά καλλιτεχνημένα με παραδοσιακά σχέδια της Σκύρου. Οι τέχνες του κεντήματος και της ξυλογλυπτικής αποτελούν τις πιο εντυπωσιακές μορφές χειροτεχνίας του νησιού. Τα μοτίβα είναι εμπνευσμένα από τη θρησκεία, τους θρύλους, την καθημερινή ζωή αλλά και τη ναυτική παράδοση της Σκύρου και είναι τόσο εντυπωσιακά, που αποτελούν έμπνευση εδώ και δεκάδες χρόνια για σύγχρονες εικαστικές δημιουργίες. Αξίζει να σημειώσουμε ότι και η νέα κολεξιόν της Axel Spring/Summer 2022, βασίζεται σε μοτίβα από τα υπέροχα σκυριανά κεντήματα, ενταγμένα στη σύγχρονη αισθητική και τα υλικά. W h at t o s e e Perched on the side of a steep cliff, the magical main town of Skyros, also known as Chora, resembles the Cycladic style with its narrow winding alleys and the whitewashed cube-like houses stacked on top of each other. The settlement “hugs” a high rock, which is crowned by the Byzantine castle with the white monastery of Agios Georgios, patron saint of the island. The route up there is quite tiring, but totally rewarding. The view is stunning. Stroll around the picturesque alleys and smell the natural jasmine and basil. Take a walk on the main cobbled alley, Megali Strata, which goes through Chora and is full of beautiful local shops as well as cafés and taverns that serve local delicacies. In the beautiful square of eternal poetry or Brooke Square stands the statue of Rupert Brooke (English poet known for his neo-Romantic poems who died in a French hospital ship in a bay off the island of Skyros during World War I and was buried in an olive grove on Skyros). The square offers fantastic views over the Aegean. The Archaeological Museum located just below the castle in Chora displays a rich collection of exhibits and findings dating from different historical eras, many of which have been found in excavations in the archaeological site of Palamari. There is also a hall dedicated to the traditional Skyrian house, with all its rooms, furniture, and equipment. The collection includes traditional costumes, embroidery, gravures, and pottery crafted with traditional designs of Skyros. The arts of embroidery and wood carving are the most impressive forms of handicrafts on the island. The patterns are inspired by the religion, the legends, the daily life but also the naval tradition of Skyros and are so impressive that they have been an inspiration for decades for contemporary artistic creations. It is worth mentioning that the new Axel Spring / Summer 2022 collection is based on the wonderful Skyrian embroidery patterns blended with modern aesthetics and materials. Finally, a visit to the Faltaits Folklore Museum, one of the first folklore museums in Greece, is a must. Στη δυτική ακτή (10 χλμ. από τη Χώρα) βρίσκεται το λιμάνι του νησιού, η Λιναριά, απ’ όπου ξεκινούν οι βασικές οδικές αρτηρίες για τα υπόλοιπα χωριά. Οι Αχερούνες είναι αμμώδης παραλία που θα συναντήσετε με το που φτάσετε στο λιμάνι. Επίσης, πολύ κοντά στη Χώρα, θα απολαύσετε το μπάνια σας στο Μώλο και στα Μαγαζιά, τα οποία συνδέονται από μια μεγάλη αμμώδη παραλία. Η παραλία του Πεύκου είναι μία από τις πιο δημοφιλείς της Σκύρου, ενώ στο βορειοδυτικό τμήμα του νησιού θα βρείτε αυτές του Άγιου Φωκά, του Πεύκου, την απάνεμη Κυρά-Παναγιά και τον Άγιο Πέτρο με τη μεγάλη αμμουδιά. Η Ατσίτσα είναι ένα γραφικό χωριουδάκι, που έχει πολλούς μικρούς κόλπους και παραλίες με βότσαλο. Η Καλαμίτσα είναι από τις μεγαλύτερες παραλίες του νησιού και αγαπημένος προορισμός των windsurfers. Η παραλία στους Ασπούς είναι ιδανική για οικογένειες με μικρά παιδιά, αφού είναι αρκετά ρηχή με λεπτή άμμο και ζεστά νερά. Τέλος, μην χάσετε την ευκαιρία να κάνετε μια ημερήσια εκδρομή στο νησάκι Σαρακήνικο με τα πεντακάθαρα νερά και στις απομονωμένες θαλασσοσπηλιές Πεντεκάλη και Διατρυπητή. Τα καΐκια ξεκινούν από τη Λιναριά. The port of the island in a village called Linaria is on the west coast of the island (10 km from Chora). This is where the main roads to the rest villages start. Acherounes is a sandy beach you will find when you reach the port. Within close distance from Chora, you can also enjoy swimming in Molos and Magazia, which share a long sandy beach. The scenic Pefkos beach is one of the most popular beaches in Skyros, while in the northwestern part of the island you can find Agios Fokas, Pefkos, unspoilt Kyra Panagia which is sheltered from the wind, and Agios Petros with fine sand and crystal water. Atsitsa is a quaint village with many small bays and pebbled beaches. Kalamitsa is one of the largest beaches on the island and favorite destination of windsurfers. Aspous beach is ideal for families with small children, as it is quite shallow with fine sand and warm water. Don’t miss the chance to make a day trip to the island of Sarakiniko with its crystal-clear waters and the secluded sea caves of Pentekali and Diatrypiti. The boats depart from Linaria. The combination of sea and mountain allows for many activities, such as hiking (there are eight marked trails to discover the diversity of Skyros natural landscape), cycling, horseback riding, climbing, bird watching, 4x4 routes for jeep lovers, windsurfing, diving, sailing and sea excursions on deserted beaches.

When and how to get there

Από το Μάιο έως και το τέλος Σεπτεμβρίου, η Σκύρος θα σας περιμένει με όλες τις υποδομές της σε πλήρη λειτουργία και τον καιρό σύμμαχο. Η Σκύρος διαθέτει αεροπορική σύνδεση μέσω Αθήνας και Θεσσαλονίκης, ενώ τα φτηνά εισιτήρια καθιστούν την επιλογή αυτή πιο οικονομική ακόμα και από την οδική πρόσβαση, για ένα ή δύο άτομα. Οδικώς, θα πρέπει να οδηγήσετε μέχρι την Κύμη της Εύβοιας (158 χλμ. απόσταση, που απαιτεί χρόνο περίπου 3 ωρών από Αθήνα). Από την Κύμη θα πάρετε το ferry που θα σας μεταφέρει στο λιμάνι της Σκύρου σε μιάμιση ώρα.

From May until September, Skyros awaits you in full operation and pleasant weather. Skyros is connected to Athens and Thessaloniki by domestic flights, and the tickets for one or two persons are even more affordable than road access. You can also reach Skyros by ferry. If you start from Athens, you need to drive to Kymi, Evia (158 km, around 3 hours’ drive) and then take the ferry that will take you to the port of Skyros in about one hour and a half.

Μεγάλα all inclusive resort δεν είναι στο φόρτε τους, καθώς γενικά το νησί δεν χαρακτηρίζεται από τουρισμό αυτού του είδους. Στη Χώρα, το «Hotel Nefeli» αποτελεί μια ποιοτική επιλογή διακοπών, ενώ στην περιοχή Γυρίσματα, τα «Kallisti Studios & Apartments» και «Almyra Guesthouses» προσφέρουν ηρεμία και άνεση χάρη στις αυτόνομες μεζονέτες τους -για όσους δεν συμπαθούν τα ξενοδοχεία. Στην περιοχή Μαγαζιά, το συγκρότημα κατοικιών «Αμφιτρίτη» αποτελεί μια νέα πρόταση διαμονής με 5 ανεξάρτητες μεζονέτες, ενώ το ξενοδοχείο «Μελικάρι» διαθέτει άνετα και όμορφα δωμάτια. In Skyros, there are accommodation options for every budget and mood, but most of them are small complexes of apartments and houses. Large all-inclusive resorts are not than common, as generally the island is not characterized by this kind of tourism. In Chora, chic and modern “Nefeli Hotel” is a quality place to stay, while in the area of Gyrismata, the “Kallisti Studios & Apartments” and “Almyra Guesthouses” offer peace, relaxation and comfort thanks to their independent maisonettes – for those who don’t like hotels. In the area of Magazia, the residential complex “Amfitriti” is a new accommodation option with 5 independent maisonettes, while the hotel “Melikari” offers comfortable and quality rooms. Within close distance from the beach of Aspous settlement, the apartments of “Dioni” hotel with the simplicity and majesty of Skyrian architecture are waiting for you in a lush garden, while in Linaria, just 1 km away from the port, the “Aelia Collection Suites” is a complex of luxury small independent houses. There are many rooms for rent in all visitable areas of the island at relatively low prices, with good infrastructure and amenities.

Τ ο α λ ογάκ ι της Σ κ ύ ρ ου Η μικρόσωμη φυλή αλόγων Σκύρου είναι σήμερα μία από τις σπάνιες φυλές που υπάρχουν στον κόσμο. Πρόκειται για μία από τις αυτόχθονες φυλές αλόγων της Ελλάδας που προέρχεται από την αρχαιότητα και κατάφερε να επιβιώσει στη Σκύρο έως σήμερα. Μόλις 260 αλογάκια υπάρχουν σε όλη την Ελλάδα και από αυτά τα 187 ζουν ελεύθερα στη Σκύρο σε μικρές αγέλες. Τα σκυριανά αλογάκια διαβιούν κυρίως στο όρος Κόχυλας στη νότια Σκύρο, ενώ υπάρχουν αρκετά και σε επισκέψιμες φάρμες και κτήματα του νησιού, όπως το Κτήμα Μουριές, όπου μπορεί ο καθένας να τα δει από κοντά.

Πίτες και μαγειρευτά, άγριο κατσικάκι στη λαδόκολλα, αγαλιποκεφτέδες, τα ντόπια μανιτάρια τάφτιτσα, υπέροχα τυριά και αλιεύματα παντός είδους, που δημιουργούν εδέσματα όπως την υπέροχη καβουρομακαρονάδα, ντόπιο μέλι αλλά και κρασιά, θα προσφέρουν στον ουρανίσκο σας μια σπάνια απόλαυση. Στις «Ιστορίες του Μπάρμπα» σερβίρονται ντόπιοι ψαρομεζέδες συνοδεία τσίπουρου με θέα την παραλία του Μώλου. Στο καφενείο «Μπαρμπα Γιάννης και Μαρίτσα» στη Χώρα θα απολαύσετε καταπληκτικά μεζεδάκια, ενώ πασίγνωστη είναι η ψαροταβέρνα του «Στέλιου» στα Γυρίσματα, όπως και ο «Ασημενός» στην Ασπούς, που ετοιμάζει υπέροχη αστακομακαρονάδα. Στην παραλία Πεύκος, αναζητήστε την ταβέρνα της «Σταματίας» και δοκιμάστε δίπλα στη θάλασσα τις πίτες και τα μαγειρευτά της. Αλλά και για τους μύστες του κρέατος, η Σκύρος κρύβει εκπλήξεις, όπως την ταβέρνα «Άγιος Πέτρος», μην σας φοβίζει το όνομα, στην περιοχή Τραχύ, στο βόρειο τμήμα του νησιού. Το κατσικάκι στη λαδόκολλα είναι πραγματικά παραδεισένιο.

Pies and stews, wild goat on baking paper, agalipokeftedes (made with a small anemone of the sea and lobster spaghetti, the “meatballs of Skyros”), local taftitsa mushrooms, wonderful cheese varieties and catches of all kinds, which create unique delicacies such as the wonderful crab spaghetti, local honey and wines, are an extraordinary pleasure for your palate. At “Istories tou Barba” you can enjoy local fish meze dishes with tsipouro while looking over the beautiful beach of Molos. At the café “Barba Giannis and Maritsa” in Chora, mouthwatering meze dishes are an absolute treat to your palate, while in the famous fish tavern of “Stelios” at Gyrismata and in “Asimenios” at Aspous you will taste the best lobster spaghetti. At Pefkos beach, ask for the tavern of “Stamatia” and try its exquisite pies and stews right on the beach. Meat lovers will also find their satisfaction, as Skyros has an amazing gastronomic wealth. In the tavern “Agios Petros” in the area of Trachy in the northern part of the island, you can taste “divine” dishes. The goat kid on baking paper is really made in heaven.

This breed of small-bodied horses found in Skyros is today one of the rarest horse breeds in the world. It is native to Greece and is believed to exist since the ancient times. Now it is only found in the wild on the island of Skyros. There are only 260 ponies in all of Greece, 187 of which live in Skyros in small herds. The Skyros ponies live mainly on Mount Kochylas in southern Skyros, while there are many farms to visit on the island, such as the Mouries Estate, where you can see them up close.

Euphoria

Η σειρά για την οποία όλοι μιλούσαν ακατάπαυστα τους προηγούμενους μήνες είναι σίγουρα το Euphoria, καθώς -ύστερα από αρκετή αναμονή- επιτέλους κυκλοφόρησε η δεύτερη σεζόν. Πέρα από την υπόθεση που εξιστορεί τις περιπέτειες των εφήβων που ψάχνουν τη θέση τους σε αυτόν τον κόσμο, τα eye make-up looks των πρωταγωνιστριών κατέκλυσαν τα social media, με αποτέλεσμα να τα βλέπουμε ακόμα και στις Εβδομάδες Μόδας. Στολισμένα μάτια με πέρλες, glitter και φτερά και eyeliner εφαρμοσμένο randomly στα πάνω και κάτω βλέφαρα αποτελούσαν συχνή παρουσία στις πασαρέλες. Too bold? Ίσως, αλλά σίγουρα μια καλή πηγή έμπνευσης για να πειραματιστείτε και να βγείτε εκτός του comfort zone σας.

Euphoria season 2 that everyone has been talking about over the past months is finally out and all we can say is that: it was worth waiting! Apart from the plot that follows the lives of a group of teens trying to find their place in the world, the eye make-up looks of the lead actresses have taken over the social media, becoming an inspiration even for gorgeous appearances on Fashion Weeks. Sparkle eyeshadow with pearls, glitter and feathers, and eyeliner randomly applied on the upper and lower lids have created a visual feast on the runways. Too bold? Maybe, but it’s certainly a good inspiration to experiment and, why not, step out of your comfort zone.

Greek at h e a r t Η Ντίνα Νικολάου αποτελεί μια άξια εκπρόσωπο της ελληνικής γαστρονομίας. Το Evi Evane, το βραβευμένο ελληνικό εστιατόριο που άνοιξαν πριν μερικά χρόνια στο Παρίσι μαζί με την αδερφή της, Μαρία, ακολουθεί μόνιμα ανοδική πορεία και αναδεικνύει με μοναδικό τρόπο τις γεύσεις της Ελλάδας, ενώ ετοιμάζουν κι έναν νέο χώρο στη γαλλική πρωτεύουσα -με την επιτυχία να είναι δεδομένη. Αεικίνητη, δημιουργική, δίνει τον καλύτερό της εαυτό σε ό,τι κι αν καταπιάνεται. Η ίδια μας μίλησε, μεταξύ άλλων, για τα σχέδιά της, τις τάσεις της γαστρονομίας για τη νέα σεζόν και για τον ρόλο που παίζουν πλέον τα social media στον χώρο της εστίασης. ε ποια δημιουργική φάση σας πετυχαίνουμε αυτήν την περίοδο; Όπως πάντα, τα τελευταία δεκαπέντε χρόνια βρίσκομαι σε ένα αέναο πήγαινε-έλα. Επέλεξα να ζω, να δημιουργώ και να πορεύομαι και στις δυο χώρες της ζωής μου, στην Ελλάδα και στη Γαλλία. Η απόφασή μου αυτή σαφώς και δυσκολεύει τη ζήση μου, αλλά ταυτόχρονα την ομορφαίνει και τη πασπαλίζει με γοητεία. Έτσι, λοιπόν, αυτήν την περίοδο στο Παρίσι ετοιμάζουμε ένα καινούργιο χώρο ελληνικής εστίασης, ενώ ετοιμάζω και ένα καινούργιο βιβλίο ελληνικής κουζίνας για τις γαλλόφωνες χώρες -το τρίτο κατά σειρά. Επίσης, οργανώνω και μια εκπομπή που θα γυριστεί στην Ελλάδα από γαλλική εταιρεία παραγωγής και θα προβάλλεται στη μεγαλύτερη διαδικτυακή πλατφόρμα της Γαλλίας. Είμαι πραγματικά ενθουσιασμένη με την εκπομπή αυτή, γιατί θα έχω την ευκαιρία να προβάλω τη χώρα μας σαν γαστρονομικό προορισμό στο εξωτερικό, κάτι που έχει γίνει ο στόχος μου και σκοπός μου τα τελευταία χρόνια. Παράλληλα, ετοιμάζω μια καινούργια εκπομπή μαγειρικής για την ελληνική τηλεόραση που είμαι σίγουρη πως θα αγαπήσουν ιδιαίτερα οι φίλοι μου. Ποια θα λέγατε ότι είναι η μεγαλύτερη τάση στη γαστρονομία για τη νέα σεζόν; Πολλές οι καινούργιες τάσεις στη γαστρονομία τα τελευταία δυο χρόνια. Η πανδημία άφησε καλά το στίγμα της. Έτσι, έχουμε την άνθιση της vegan μαγειρικής και πολλά λαχανικά, σπόρους και όσπρια που κάνουν θριαμβευτική είσοδο σε πολλά μενού εστιατορίων. Το comfort food είναι στα καλύτερά του και δεν είναι λίγοι αυτοί που κάνουν μια στροφή προς το «παρηγορητικό φαγητό», σε μια αληθινή, νόστιμη και υγιεινή βερσιόν, που παραπέμπει σε οικογενειακά και φιλικά τραπεζώματα. Ανακαλύπτονται νέα ποιοτικά υλικά και πολλοί μαθαίνουν να χρησιμοποιούν ξεχασμένα μανιτάρια και περίεργους άγριους βλαστούς. Στροφή, λοιπόν, στο ποιοτικό φαγητό και στο ουσιαστικό. Είστε πολύ ενεργή και στα social media. Πιστεύετε ότι είναι απαραίτητα πια

για έναν μάγειρα να επικοινωνήσει τη δουλειά του; Για όλους είναι πάντα απαραίτητο να επικοινωνούν τη δουλειά τους. Ήταν και θα είναι πάντα προτεραιότητα. Αυτό που έχουν αλλάξει τα social media είναι η σχέση μεταξύ του δημιουργού και του αποδέκτη. Η επικοινωνία, η σχέση οικειότητας που αναπτύσσεται. Αυτό είναι σαφώς μέρος της καινούργιας πραγματικότητας των social media και θέλει προσεκτικούς και αξιοπρεπείς χειρισμούς κατά τη γνώμη μου. Ποια ήταν τα ερεθίσματα που σας έσπρωξαν να ασχοληθείτε επαγγελματικά με τη γαστρονομία; Στην απόφασή μου να ασχοληθώ επαγγελματικά με τη μαγειρική έπαιξε μεγάλο ρόλο το Παρίσι. Το γεγονός ότι βρέθηκα εκεί στην τρυφερή ηλικία των 22, για να συνεχίσω τις σπουδές μου στο μάρκετινγκ και στα οικονομικά που είχα αρχίσει στη Θεσσαλονίκη, με έφερε αντιμέτωπη με τη γαστρονομική μαγεία της Γαλλίας. Εκεί κατάλαβα πως αυτός είναι ο δρόμος μου. Οργανώνετε ένα δείπνο και μπορείτε να καλέσετε 5 διάσημες προσωπικότητες -εν ζωή ή μη- ποιες θα ήταν αυτές και τι θα τους μαγειρεύατε; Ονειρεύομαι μια παρέα χαρισματική, ιδιαίτερη, πέρα από κάθε λογική, που θα την απαρτίζουν: Ο Albert Einstein, ο ευφυής Ο Αριστοτέλης, ο φιλόσοφος Η Valentina Tereshkova, η πρώτη γυναίκα αστροναύτης Η Μελίνα Μερκούρη, η απόλυτη Ελληνίδα Η Meryl Streep, το φαινόμενο του αμερικανικού κινηματογράφου. Όσο για το φαγητό, οι επιλογές μου θα ήταν ωμά θαλασσινά μαριναρισμένα και ρίζες, λαχανικά, φυλλώματα με περίτεχνες μαγειρικές και σάλτσες. Όσο για το επιδόρπιο, φρούτα με αλατισμένη καραμέλα και μαύρη σοκολάτα λιωμένη θα έκλειναν ιδανικά αυτό το αλλοπρόσαλλο τραπέζωμα! AXELIFE

COOKING Dina Nikolaou is a worthy representative of Greek gastronomy. Evi Evane, the award-winning Greek restaurant that she and her sister, Maria, opened a few years ago in Paris, is constantly growing in reputation, advertising in a unique way the flavors of Greece abroad. What’s more, the two are also preparing to open a new place in the French capital – with guaranteed success. Active, creative, giving her best in whatever she does, Dina Nikolaou talked to us, among other things, about her plans, the food trends of the new season and the role that social media now play in the food industry.

hat are you up to these days? As always, I am constantly on the move. The last fifteen years, I have chosen to live, create, and work in two countries I love, Greece and France. This decision has clearly made my life more complicated, but at the same time beautiful and charming. So, these days, my sister and I are preparing a new place with Greek cuisine in Paris, while I am also working on a new book of Greek cuisine for the French-speaking countries – the third in a row. I am also organizing a show that will be filmed in Greece by a French production company and will be shown on the largest online platform in France. I am really excited about this show because I will have the opportunity to promote our country as a gastronomic destination abroad, something that has been my goal and purpose in recent years. I am also preparing a new cooking show for Greek television that I am sure my friends will love. What would you say is the biggest food trend of the new season? There have been many new food trends in the last two years. The pandemic played a big role in that. We have seen the flourishing of vegan cuisine and lots of vegetables, seeds and legumes making a triumphal entry into many restaurant menus. Also, comfort food is at its best; I notice many people have made a shift towards “comfort food”, the true, tasty, and healthy version, which reminds us of meals with family and friends. New quality materials are rediscovered, and many learn to use forgotten mushrooms and strange wild sprouts. So, it’s mostly a shift towards quality and staple foods. You are also very active on social media. Do you think it is now necessary for a cook to communicate his/her work? It is always necessary for anyone to communicate their work. It has been and will always be a priority. What has changed with social media is the relationship that develops between the creator and the recipient. The communication and the intimacy that comes with it are part of the new reality of social media, and in my opinion, it requires careful and decent handling. What inspired you to pursue a career in gastronomy? Paris played a big role in my decision to pursue a career in cooking. I went there at the tender age of 22 to continue my studies in marketing and economics that I had started in Thessaloniki, and I came across the gastronomic magic of France. This is when I realized that this was my path. You are hosting a dinner party, and you can only invite 5 famous people – dead or alive. Who would they be and what would you cook for them? I guess it would be a charismatic, special group of people, against all reason, that would consist of: Albert Einstein, the genius Aristotle, the philosopher Valentina Tereshkova, the first female astronaut Melina Mercouri, the ultimate Greek woman Meryl Streep, the American cinema phenomenon As for the food, my choices would be raw marinated seafood and roots, vegetables and greens in elaborate dishes with delicate sauces. As for the dessert, fruits with salted caramel and melted dark chocolate would ideally complete this bizarre meal! AXELIFE

ΥΛ Ι Κ Α 300 γρ. καρπούζι, κομμένο με παριζιέν σε μπαλίτσες / 300 γρ. πεπόνι, κομμένο με παριζιέν σε μπαλίτσες / 200 γρ. μοτσαρελάκια baby / 200 γρ. ντοματίνια χρωματιστά, κομμένα στη μέση / 1 χωριάτικο φύλλο ή 2 φύλλα κρούστας / 30 ml ελαιόλαδο / Φύλλα φρέσκου βασιλικού / Αλάτι / Για τη βινεγκρέτ: 100 ml ελαιόλαδο / 2 κουτ. σούπας πάστα λιαστής ντομάτας / 1 κουτ. γλυκού μέλι / Χυμό από 1 λεμόνι 1 κουτ. γλυκού πάπρικα / Αλάτι, φρεσκοτριμμένο πιπέρι ΔΙΑΔΙΚΑΣΙΑ Προθερμαίνω το φούρνο στους 200°C στις αντιστάσεις. Λαδώνω με ένα πινέλο το χωριάτικο φύλλο ή τα φύλλα κρούστας και πασπαλίζω με θαλασσινό αλάτι. Τα βάζω σε μια λαμαρίνα (δεν χρειάζεται να είναι ίσια) και τα ψήνω για 15 λεπτά μέχρι να ροδίσουν και να γίνουν τραγανά. Σε ένα μεγάλο μπολ βάζω το καρπούζι, το πεπόνι, τα μοτσαρελάκια και τα ντοματίνια. Ραντίζω με τη μισή βινεγκρέτ και ανακατεύω. Σπάω το ψημένο φύλλο σε κομμάτια και τα σκορπίζω στη σαλάτα. Προσθέτω φρέσκα φύλλα βασιλικού και ραντίζω με την υπόλοιπη βινεγκρέτ. Για την βινεγκρέτ: Βάζω σε ένα μπολ την πάστα λιαστής ντομάτας, το μέλι, την πάπρικα, το χυμό λεμονιού, αλάτι και πιπέρι. Ανακατεύω με ένα πηρούνι και προσθέτω σταδιακά το ελαιόλαδο.

INGREDIENTS 300 g watermelon, Parisienne cut in scoop balls / 300 g melon, Parisienne cut in scoop balls / 200 g baby mozzarella cheese / 200 g colorful cherry tomatoes, cut in half / 1 phyllo dough or 2 filo pastry sheets / 30 ml olive oil / Fresh basil leaves / Salt. For the vinaigrette: 100 ml olive oil / 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato paste / 1 teaspoon honey / Juice from 1 lemon / 1 teaspoon paprika / Salt, freshly ground pepper INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 200°C (upper and lower heat). Brush the phyllo dough or the filo pastry sheets with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Place them on a baking tray (no need to be even) and bake for 15 minutes until golden and crispy. In a large bowl, add the melon, watermelon, baby mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with half vinaigrette and stir. Break the filo sheets with your hands and spread the pieces over the salad. Add fresh basil leaves and drizzle with the rest vinaigrette. For the vinaigrette: In a bowl, add the sun-dried tomato paste, honey, paprika, lemon juice, salt and paper. Mix with a fork and slowly add the olive oil.

2 turkey breast fillets / 100 ml olive oil / 700 g spinach, stems removed / 1 sprig chervil, roughly chopped / 1 sprig hartwort, roughly chopped / 1 Florina pepper, cubed / 1 sprig fennel or dill, finely chopped / 200 g cheese cream / 60 ml heavy cream / 1 tablespoon soft mustard / 1 teaspoon sweet paprika / 1 teaspoon curry / Salt, freshly ground pepper

ΔΙΑΔΙΚΑΣΙΑ Προθερμαίνω το φούρνο στους 180°C στις αντιστάσεις. Βάζω σε ένα αντικολλητικό τηγάνι το μισό ελαιόλαδο να ζεσταθεί. Ρίχνω το σπανάκι, τα μυρώνια, τις καυκαλήθρες και την πιπεριά, αλατοπιπερώνω και σοτάρω σε δυνατή φωτιά για 6-8 λεπτά ανακατεύοντας. Το σπανάκι θα βγάλει τα υγρά του αλλά δεν τα στραγγίζω. Αποσύρω από τη φωτιά και προσθέτω το μάραθο, τη μουστάρδα, την πάπρικα, το κάρι, το τυρί κρέμα και την κρέμα γάλακτος. Ανακατεύω καλά και αφήνω στην άκρη. Με ένα κοφτερό μαχαίρι κόβω τα 2 φιλέτα γαλοπούλα από το πλάι, ώστε να ανοίξουν σαν βιβλίο. Τα αλατοπιπερώνω καλά μέσα και έξω και βάζω στο κάθε κομμάτι από 2-3 κουταλιές γέμισης. Κλείνω τα φιλέτα πιέζοντας λίγο για να εγκλωβίσω τη γέμιση. Όση γέμιση περισσέψει την απλώνω σε ένα ταψάκι και μεταφέρω επάνω τα φιλέτα. Ραντίζω με το υπόλοιπο ελαιόλαδο, σκεπάζω με αντικολλητικό χαρτί και αλουμινόχαρτο και ψήνω στο φούρνο για 40 λεπτά. Αφαιρώ το αλουμινόχαρτο και το αντικολλητικό χαρτί και αφήνω τη γαλοπούλα να ψηθεί για 5-6 λεπτά μέχρι να ροδίσει ελαφρά η επιφάνεια.

INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 180°C (upper and lower heat). In a non-stick pan, heat half the olive oil. Add the spinach, chervil, hartwort and pepper, season with salt and pepper and sauté over high heat for 6-8 minutes, while stirring. Leave the spinach release its liquid. Remove from the heat and add the fennel, mustard, paprika, curry, cream cheese and heavy cream. Mix well and set aside. Use a sharp knife to cut the 2 turkey breast fillets from the side, so that they open like a book. Salt and pepper inside out and spread 2-3 spoonfuls of stuffing on each piece. Close the fillets and press the edges to trap the stuffing. Place the fillets on a baking tray and spread the remaining stuffing. Drizzle with the rest olive oil, cover with a baking paper and foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Remove foil and baking paper and bake for another 5-6 minutes, until the skin is lightly crisp and golden.

INGREDIENTS

500 γρ. γάλα φρέσκο / 500 γρ. κρέμα γάλακτος / 1 κουτ. γλυκού μαστίχα, σε δάκρυ, σπασμένες (όχι σκόνη) / 9 κρόκοι αυγών / 180 γρ. ζάχαρη κρυσταλλική / 100 γρ. ζάχαρη καστανή / 200 γρ. φράουλες 100 ml ρούμι ή μπράντι / Φιστίκι Αιγίνης, για το σερβίρισμα

500 g fresh milk / 500 g heavy cream / 1 teaspoon mastic tears, crushed (not powdered) / 9 egg yolks / 180 g crystal sugar / 100 g brown sugar / 200 g strawberries / 100 ml rum or brandy / Pistachio for serving

ΔΙΑΔΙΚΑΣΙΑ Σε ένα κατσαρολάκι βάζω το γάλα με τη κρέμα γάλακτος και τη μαστίχα σε δάκρυ. Αφήνω το μίγμα να πάρει μια βράση και μετά αφήνω το μίγμα για 1 ώρα να κρυώσει και να αρωματιστεί. Προθερμαίνουμε το φούρνο στους 100°C στις αντιστάσεις. Σε ένα μπολ, χτυπάω καλά με το σύρμα, τους κρόκους και την κρυσταλλική ζάχαρη. Σουρώνω το μείγμα κρέμα γάλακτος-γάλα απευθείας στο μπολ με τους κρόκους (πετάω τα δάκρυα μαστίχας) και συνεχίζω το ανακάτεμα. Μοιράζω το μείγμα σε γυάλινα ή πορσελάνινα σκεύη για κρεμ μπρουλέ και ψήνω για 45 λεπτά. Βγάζω τις κρέμες από το φούρνο και τις αφήνω να κρυώσουν. Σκεπάζω με μεμβράνη και τις αφήνω στο ψυγείο για τουλάχιστον 3 ώρες. Πλένω καλά τις φράουλες, τις σκουπίζω και τις κόβω σε μικρούς κύβους. Τις βάζω σε ένα μπολ και τις ραντίζω με το ρούμι. Τις αφήνω στο ψυγείο για όση ώρα είναι και οι κρέμες. Για το σερβίρισμα: Βγάζω τις κρέμες από το ψυγείο, ταμπονάρω προσεκτικά με απορροφητικό χαρτί της επιφάνειά τους για να αφαιρέσω την υγρασία που τυχόν έχει σχηματιστεί και πασπαλίζω με την καστανή ζάχαρη. Καψαλίζω με το φλόγιστρο μέχρι να λιώσει η ζάχαρη. Στραγγίζω τις φράουλες από το ρούμι, τις στολίζω γύρω από την καψαλισμένη ζάχαρη και πασπαλίζω με λίγα φυστίκια Αιγίνης.

INSTRUCTIONS In a small pot, add the milk, heavy cream and mastic tears. Bring to a boil and then remove from the heat. Leave to cool and incorporate the flavors for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 100°C (upper and lower heat). Put the egg yolks and the crystal sugar in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Strain the milk-cream mixture directly into the bowl with the yolks (remove the mastic tears) and continue whisking. Pour the mixture into glass or porcelain ramekins and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Cover with a plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Wash, drain and cut the strawberries in small cubes. Place them in a bowl and sprinkle with rum. Leave in the fridge for the same time as the cremes. For serving: Remove the cremes from the fridge, gently blot the excess moisture with a paper towel and spread brown sugar over the tops. Caramelize the sugar with a kitchen torch, until the sugar melts. Drain the strawberries from the rum, decorate them around the caramelized sugar and sprinkle with a few chopped pistachios. AXELIFE

Η κάθετη κατεύθυνση, ακολουθώντας την κλίση του εδάφους, περιλαμβάνει το χτιστό κρεβάτι που είναι υπερυψωμένο, ενώ ακριβώς μπροστά του βρίσκεται ένα βυθισμένο καwθιστικό, ώστε η κλιμακωτή τους σχέση να αφήνει ανεμπόδιστη τη θέα προς την πισίνα και τη θάλασσα, μέσα από ένα μεγάλο άνοιγμα. Στον εσωτερικό χώρο κυριαρχεί η πατητή τσιμεντοκονία σε μεγάλες επιφάνειες, οριζόντιες και κατακόρυφες, σε χρώμα που ταιριάζει με το υπόλευκο, αργιλικό έδαφος της τοποθεσίας. The interior is dominated by pressed cement facing on large horizontal and vertical surfaces; its color matches the off-white clay soil of the site. The restrained, monochromatic palette allows carefully selected pieces of furniture to stand out in their sculptural forms and dark shades, making an impact that adds intensity to the space. The center stage is taken by the sea view panorama, available through strategically located large openings. In fact, more than 200 fairytale-like photos were collected in an album bearing the same name – which was even approved by the director himself – accompanied by interesting stories and facts about the places they feature.
