Η Sandra Bullock γεννήθηκε τον Ιούλιο του 1964. Η μητέρα της ήταν Γερμανίδα τραγουδίστρια όπερας και δασκάλα φωνητικής, ο πατέρας της ήταν Αμερικανός στρατιωτικός και επίσης δούλευε ως voice coach. Έχει μια νεότερη αδερφή, την Gesine. Μεγάλωσε έως τα 12 στη Νυρεμβέργη, τη Βιέννη και το Στρασβούργο. Όταν ήταν παιδί, συνόδευε τη μητέρα της στις παραστάσεις της ανά την Ευρώπη -συχνά τής έδιναν και μικρούς ρόλους. Μικρή έκανε μπαλέτο και φωνητική, ενώ όταν γύρισε στην Αμερική συμμετείχε σε σχολικές παραστάσεις. Από νωρίς, λοιπόν, έδειξε την καλλιτεχνική της πλευρά -την οποία πιθανότατα να κληρονόμησε από τους γονείς της. Όταν μετακόμισε στο Μανχάταν για να κυνηγήσει την καριέρα της στην υποκριτική δούλεψε, μεταξύ άλλων, ως σερβιτόρα και bartender για να μπορέσει να ανταποκριθεί στο ακριβό κόστος ζωής της πόλης. Sandra Bullock was born in 1964. Her mother was a German opera singer and voice teacher, her father was an army employee and also worked as a voice coach. He has a younger sister, Gesine. Until the age of 12, Bullock was raised in Nuremberg, Germany and Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. As a child, she accompanied her mother to her opera tours in Europe and she often took small parts in her opera productions. She did ballet and voice classes, and when she got back to America, she performed in school theater productions. So, from a quite early age, she revealed and explored her artistic side, which she probably inherited from her parents. When she moved to Manhattan to pursue her acting career she worked, among other things, as a waitress and bartender to be able to afford the expensive cost of living in the city.
