Q. Thanks for interviewing with us. Tell everyone who you are and what you do? A. My pleasure. My name is Jonathan Gatsby and I am a publisher and the author of the series “The Wars between Angels & Gods,” and the series “World War III”.
Q. What made you want to study archaeology? A. Honestly? I wanted to be Indiana Jones. Funny, I actually had the entire outfit at one point!
Q. When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A. At the age of 17 in the Fairbanks Youth Correctional Facility. It was while serving detention for protecting a friend from a bully that I would be introduced to Harry Potter and spark an interest in fantasy fiction. They say you can’t just wake up and decide to start writing, but that is exactly what happened to me. With 15 sheets of paper, and plenty of time in my cell, my writing career began. Honestly though, throughout my entire 5 years of high-school I only attended a handful of English classes. I disliked writing, and still detest paperwork to this day. So, becoming an author was definitely not what I had in mind. But it has certainly become my greatest passion. Q. Tell us about your book series “The Wars Between Angels & Gods” and the motivation behind it? A. The book series will be a series of seven books. allowed to attack each other. How far are the Demigods willing to go to win this tournament and can their relationships and sanity survive it? Asgard has finished reforming and joins in on the tournaments, as do the Egyptian deities, and Hawaiian deities.

Demigods. They must learn to use their powers as they compete in the first tournament, on the Creator’s side against the Fallen Angels seeking to defeat the Creator in a series of tournaments that if the Fallen Angels win would mean the destruction of earth. The Demigods must face off against four beasts chosen by the Fallen Angels-Arachne, Fenrir, Chiron, and Leviathan. The arena is the entire planet and nobody is safe. In the second book, the Demigods face off against two of Lucifer’s sons. 73 beasts and monsters are released from the Labyrinth onto the earth and the team that kills the most by the time all 73 beasts and monsters are killed wins the tournament. The teams are also
Q. Where do you get your ideas and creativity from for your books? A. The Bible, Greek mythology, Norse mythology, Hawaiian deities, Egyptian Mythology, and for the demigods, just everyday life. I found links and connections between each religion, cross over figures, such as Lucifer, Orion, the angel who rolled the stone away from Jesus’ grave had the appearance of Lightning, just like Zeus and Thor, Leviathan/ Jörmungandr, and more. As far as creativity, I don’t plan ahead when writing, I just stay writing and let the events create the outcome. I let each scene decide what comes next to make it realistic. I never plan for any of the characters to die, but if the plot calls for them to, I don’t mysteriously save them.
