FONDAZIONE CONTRO IL NEGAZIONISMO DEL GENOCIDIO IN RUANDA A 27 anni dal genocidio del 1994 perpetrato in Ruanda dall’etnia Hutu contro i Tutsi, e a cui è sopravvissuta, Yolande Mukagasana, Grosso d’Oro Veneziano 2017, ha dato vita ad una fondazione per lottare contro il negazionismo della strage che in 100 giorni causò quasi un milione di vittime.
FOUNDATION AGAINST GENOCIDE DENIAL IN RWANDA 27 years after the 1994 genocide in Rwanda by the Hutu ethnic group against the Tutsis, Yolande Mukagasana (Grosso d’Oro Veneziano 2017), a survivor herself, has started a foundation to fight denial of the massacre that cost nearly a million lives in 100 days.
AL SENATORE MASSIMO FERRO IL ‘CANCER POLICY AWARD’ Al senatore Massimo Ferro, membro della Commissione del Premio Civiltà Veneta, è andato il riconoscimento ‘Cancer Policy Award’ 2020, attribuito dal progetto ‘La salute: un bene da difendere, un diritto da promuovere’ a personalità distintesi per l’impegno nei confronti dei malati oncologici.
‘CANCER POLICY AWARD’ GOES TO SENATOR MASSIMO FERRO Senator Massimo Ferro, a jury member for the Civiltà Veneta Prize, has been awarded the ‘Cancer Policy Award 2020’ as part of the ‘Health: an asset to defend, a right to promote’ project. The award is given to personalities who are distinguished in the field of cancer care.
NASCE LA SCUOLA DI CINEMA ‘CARLO MAZZACURATI’ Dal 1° marzo 2021, con due corsi di specializzazione e sei workshop tenuti dai migliori professionisti del mondo del cinema italiano, ha aperto i battenti la Scuola di Cinema, intitolata a Carlo Mazzacurati, il regista padovano Premio Civiltà Veneta 2009, prematuramente scomparso nel 2014.
THE ‘CARLO MAZZACURATI’ CINEMA SCHOOL IS BORN With two expert courses and six workshops held by top professionals in the world of Italian cinema, the ‘Carlo Mazzacurati’ Cinema School opened its doors on 1 March 2021. The institute is named after the Paduan director and winner of the 2009 Civiltà Veneta Prize who died prematurely in 2014.

L’Homme). La vicenda del protagonista Stéphane si snoda tra incontri e degustazioni in mezzo mondo (incluse Verona, la Fondazione Masi e Villa Serego Alighieri).
AUTHOR’S DEBUT FOR MASTER SOMMELIER ORHON The French-Canadian Master Sommelier Jacques Orhon, Civiltà del Vino Prize 2011, has published his debut novel Les fruits de l’exile (pub. L’Homme). Stéphane’s story involves wine encounters and tastings all over the world (including Verona, the Masi Foundation and Villa Serego Alighieri).
