THE SCHOOL ON THE HILL (cont) the city. Our tour guide was Mark from the Original Ghost Walk and he kept our pupils entertained with some spooky tales from times gone by. Our final day was a trip to Flamingo Land which really has something for everyone. Year 6 spent the day experiencing some exhilarating rides and getting completely soaked in the water fountains. These trips create lasting memories that our pupils will treasure forever. Providing wider experiences outside the curriculum is something we are passionate about at Fleetwood’s Charity School as there are so many more skills that children need to learn about life, themselves, each other and the world they live in. I hope that next year, we will be able to go back to Lockerbie Manor and our current Year 5 pupils will get the full outdoor and adventurous experience but Year 6 had an
amazing time in York and they were fabulous ambassadors for our school. Victoria Gladwin - Acting Headteacher t: (01253) 810324 e: bursar@fleetwoods.lancs.sch.uk fb: @preesallfleetwoodscharity www.fleetwoods.lancs.sch.uk
CARTER’S CHARITY SCHOOL Springing into Summer! Our allotment is looking fantastic; we have been harvesting our first crops, including salad leaves and radishes. We have been starting to sell some of the produce so we can re-invest in seeds ready for the next crop. On the same subject, we have now achieved Level 3 in the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening Campaign. Well done Team Carter’s!
