Canungra Hub Café The locals hub The Canungra Hub Cafe is quite literally the HUB of the village, where you can find many of the friendly local faces that frequent the cafe each and every day. One such face is local born and bred Shayna Wright, who grew up and went to school in Canungra and has worked at Canungra Hub this past 4 years. When owners Paul and Shona had a position vacant for kitchen hand, Shayna a little shy and straight out of school, was excited to take up the position. This opportunity has led to 22 year old Shayna now becoming assistant manager. Shona says, “Shayna is an integral part of our team and we are thrilled to have seen her grow into this role with great confidence."

Shayna shares her thoughts on this wonderful opportunity, “After finding my feet and working at the café for about a year, Shona encouraged me to do my certificate 3 in hospitality. That’s when I realised I wanted to continue my studies – It’s been a juggle working and studying but I am now in my third year of completing a bachelor in Hotel Management and International Tourism.” Shayna goes on to share what she loves most about working at Canungra Hub.
