THE SHOE VAULT CANUNGRA In the old bank building in town, in main street of Canungra is the The Shoe Vault. They have just celebrated their 6th year in business. A wonderful milestone for any business, especially a small boutique in country south east Queensland. The success of The Shoe Vault is testament to forward thinking boutique owner Nora - who spent most of her time during COVID lock down ticking off those to do list items. One such item was her laneway shopping precinct at the rear of her shop. Like many during lockdown, she found herself with an unusual amount of time on her hands, she quickly sprung into action to give this area a much needed renovation overhaul. Nora has now re-launched this shopping precinct as, THE SHOE VAULT MARKETS. Nora shares what shoppers can expect to find when visiting her laneway markets... “We’ve done some huge changes to the market, we pulled up all the old concrete out the back of the shop and all the pathways to make it more family friendly for mothers with prams. The roof over the coffee shop was extended to accommodate for more seating, a fresh coat of paint was added to the market stalls and the gardens were given some much needed TLC to bring the space back to life. The response from customers has been amazing, I’m frequently asked if this space I have created is a nursery due to the beautiful greenery people have said they wish they had this at the back of their house. I wanted to create a quiet, friendly environment for people to relax and enjoy their time in Canungra away from the busy street frontage".
