Year 12 Another amazing year has sped by with many great achievements and highlights and some sadness which has made this year memorable. As I farewell the class of 2014 I would like to commend the boys on their camaraderie, friendship and empathy for each other and those in the wider community. It has been my pleasure being your Year 12 Coordinator. Highlights include, The Winter Formal which was hugely successful and raised $5000 in support of Headspace. Tri-UMPH day comprised the four Catholic Colleges on SJC grounds was a spectacular event with so many of the senior students, either in a leadership capacity organising or supporting stages and events throughout the day. I am so proud of the Year 12s who have bonded together this year in some wonderful common causes. The Athletics with a costume theme this year spurred the boys to attend and encouraged friendly sporting rivalry. Boys appreciated their hoody as the winter months set in and we thank Adam Lloyd who designed the logo. The preparation for Celebration Day, Mass and Graduation has been unprecedented, with so many boys wanting to get involved. Thank you to the Homeroom teachers, Anne Condon, Margot Davies, Katherine Jenkins, Helen Keane, Teresa Taranto, Steve Catanzariti, John Mitchell, Mark Rayson, Peter Canaway, Nathaniel Smith, and helpers Mark Stracey and Anna Fazio who have been so supportive of your sons in their daily interactions. Thanks to all the College leaders especially the Captain Samuel Rotiroti, Deputy Captains Ryan Bentley and Nicholas Brandimarti, who have worked tirelessly as leaders and mentors for the rest of the leadership team

and year level. I have encouraged the boys to think about the journey not just the destination this year. Even as the exams hover they will appear but a blip on the radar when all the dust settles and the real world beckons. It will be a very different place from another vantage point outside the St Joseph’s walls. To the boys- As you step out the door remember your roots and what St. Joseph’s College has instilled in you, compassion for others, integrity to oneself and ones values and innovation to forge your destiny with all that is within you, Be happy with yourself, be safe and live lives that you can be proud of. Know that there will always be a place for you here. May you find mentors to support your life’s journey. Be curious about life and fill it seeking unlimited opportunities. May God bless each and every one of you, every day of your lives. Monika Ercoli - Year 12 Coordinator
