This trip takes us north to see one of America’s most beautiful wonders, the Great Lakes. We travel through Tennessee and Ohio and arrive in Frankenmuth, Michigan where we will visit Bonner’s Christmas Store and have some time to explore this German-style resort village. Next, we arrive in Mackinaw City to board a jet ferry to Mackinac Island and taken to the luxurious Grand Hotel with its 800-foot-long covered porch and beautiful landscaping. We then travel to Ashland, Wisconsin where we will stay along the shores on Lake Superior. Following our stay, we will take a three-hour cruise on the Apostle Islands to see many of the historic sites, sea caves, and lighthouses. Once we leave Michigan, we will head to the windy city of Chicago for a couple nights. Here, we will spend some time touring the city and taking a cruise on the Chicago River into Lake Michigan. Finally, we say our goodbyes to Chicago and head south across Indiana, Kentucky, and into Tennessee.
