CHILDCARE Whether you want to work as a teacher, nursery nurse or in the care industry, it is vital that you can offer a service that is caring, supportive, fun and stimulating. Here at Stockton Riverside College we’ll help you develop these crucial skills to forge a bright career in the childcare industry.
DIPLOMA IN CARING FOR CHILDREN LEVEL 1 - 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I DO? Throughout this course you will learn the basics of what it takes to work with babies and children. You will benefit from a combination of theory and practical sessions covering a range of topics including safeguarding, development, health and safety and lots more. You’ll have the chance to put all that you’ve learned into practice on a work placement.
YOU NEED: A minimum of three GCSEs grade 2 or above, including English language and maths.
WHAT’S NEXT? You could progress onto the Diploma for Early Years Practitioner Level 2.
