CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CERTIFICATE JOINERY PATHWAY LEVEL 1 - 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I DO? You will learn about the maintenance and use of woodworking hand tools. You will learn how to cut, shape, trim, fix and finish a range of materials, as well as basic wood jointing techniques. Lessons also cover safe working practices, quantities and communication.
YOU NEED: A keen interest in joinery, plus four GCSEs graded between 9-1 would be desirable.
WHAT’S NEXT? Move on to the Diploma in Site Joinery Diploma Level 2 or apply for apprenticeship opportunities with enhanced joinery skills.

DIPLOMA IN SITE JOINERY LEVEL 2 - 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I DO? You will build on your skills including fixtures, door linings, joists, hanging doors molding, skirting and erecting timber frames. You’ll pick up maintenance skills, communication and safe work practice. You will also get the chance to carry out a work placement.
YOU NEED: Site Joinery Diploma Level 1 or four GCSEs grade 9-1 would be desirable.
WHAT’S NEXT? Move on to the Level 3 Diploma in Site Joinery, or you could apply for apprenticeship opportunities with enhanced joinery skills.
