rivate Hotel in a 13th century Farm Mansion, Spirit of Son Fuster offers a completely new way to enjoy privacy without compromise. The old manor house & farm, which has been completely renovated, has a mix of influences and art pieces collected from years of travel. Historical Spain meets Northern Africa meets the American West in a modern eclectic casual mix. Owner of the farm is Mats Wahlstrom. A Swiss based Swedish entrepreneur and hotelier who opened the first lifestyle hotel in Mallorca 2004 and expanded its beach club concept to 9 locations around Mediterranean and Middle East. Nearly twenty years after, Mats has unveiled his new interpretation of a wellness holiday in Mallorca. “After years of exploring beaches and cities, I was drawn to the countryside. The Son Fuster estate is a private hideaway, it is where I invite my family and friends. Here there is plenty of space for everyone to relax but also for everyone to come together, too. It was a challenge to bring the finca up to date with the latest technology, to make life there comfortable. We put a lot of thought into making it as sustainable as possible, which was really exciting. We generate our electricity with our own solar park” Following its soft opening in winter 2021, Spirit of Son Fuster will officially open in March 2022 as a private luxury hotel with ten double rooms, designed for corporate meetings and private groups of up to 20 people. In addition to the rooms in the main house which include conference rooms, a dining room, a cinema, a billiard room and a nightclub decorated in 70’s style, the extensive property offers many more opportunities for joint activities. The generous pool area with sun loungers and Moroccan Berber tents is somewhere to meet up, as well as a wellness area. For those keen on sport there is a volleyball court, a yoga and meditation area, a fitness studio and a padel court. Hiking, jogging and cycling trails run past the farm’s paddock into the Tramuntana Mountains. Extras include horse riding in the surrounding area accompanied by a guide and a helicopter trip to Ibiza for lunch.
