MOUNTIES FISHING CLUB With the 2021-2022 season only just beginning we are in lockdown waiting for the restrictions to be lifted so that we can fish again. We look back on the fun times we had in the past year.
Our Inter-club competition with Bankstown Fishing Club was cancelled with the COVID-19 restrictions coming in to play.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS – 2020-21 SEASON
Our trips out have seen mixed species of fish being caught, perfect weather conditions with the odd unsettled ones and the occasional visit from dolphins and seals.
Over the year of the fishing season, fish caught are then weighed and respective points are allocated depending on the species. All weigh-ins are done back at shore by the trip captains. The trip captains are volunteers making sure all club trips run smoothly and all points recorded. The members of the Mounties Fishing Club would like to thank all trip captains for their contributions over the year. Congratulations to the following champions showing that their fishing skills excel in getting such a high achievement. ● Club Champion – Rifet Hadzic ● Runner Up – Nino Cucchiaro ● U55’s Champion – Nino Cucchiaro ● U55’s Runner Up – Luke Brown ● Senior Champion – Rifet Hadzic ● Senior Runner-up – Vince Cantarella ● Rusty Hook Award – Vi Lam ● Biggest fish of the year – Snapper 3.07kg caught by Peter Keough
