Annecy Primary School set for exciting redevelopment project
Annecy Primary School in Seaford will see the addition of a new Reception class and fully-canopied outdoor space in a £300,000 rebuilding programme. Construction is under way at Annecy Catholic Primary School for a large-scale building project that is set to transform part of the top-ranked primary school in Seaford. Thanks to £300,000 worth of construction, the Reception classroom, cloakroom and toilets will be rebuilt, with an accompanying outdoor area added to the school. This area will include external storage facilities plus a fully-canopied play space. Mr Paul Gallagher, Headteacher, said: ‘These new facilities will provide a wonderful learning environment that will give children a fantastic start to their school life here at Annecy. Children are born ready, able and eager to learn. They actively reach out to interact with other people, and in the world around them. At Annecy, we
want our children to leave us more curious than when they joined us and this new space will allow them to develop their curiosity, and engender a love of learning both inside and outside the classroom.’ Planning permission was granted for the project in December 2019 and construction started at the beginning of the year. Work is due for completion by May 2020, ready for the current Reception cohort to enjoy. Annecy operates an open-door policy and welcomes visitors to the school.
