Seaford Music Society The Seaford Music Society concert this month features two great players of the piano – Melvyn Tan and Maggie Cole. They are two of the UK’s foremost fortepianists playing together four hands at one piano. You are invited to come along and listen to the wonderful music played by these two musicians here in Seaford at 3pm on Sunday 8th March in St Leonard’s Church. Melvyn Tan is the President of the Seaford Music Society and an acclaimed pianist, having played around the world .he is well known and appreciated by many thousands of people. His playing is exemplary and he has received many accolades for his performances. He established his international reputation in the 1980s and has played with many orchestras since then along with solo performances at venues large and small.

American born Maggie, now resident in England, plays on harpsichord, fortepiano and modern piano. She has a busy and varied career playing, recording and teaching music. Maggie has given many recitals on Radio 3 and at British music festivals along with performances in venues worldwide from Finland to India. She is professor of fortepiano at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and teaches at Dartington International Summer School. Many recordings have been made of her recitals. Melvyn and Maggie will be playing piano works of Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, and to finish Debussy’s Petite Suite. An opportunity not to be missed!
