Teilnehmer*innenverzeichnis / List of participants Immanuel Dorn is an engineer for regenerative energies concerned with the sustainable use of natural energy sources, especially wind energy, to make human life easier. Since 2016 he has been a member of ERNI e.V., providing self-build workshops for small wind turbines. Self-build projects constructed with one’s own hands foster feelings of agency and a respect for the energy that is used as a matter of course in everyday life. Working on the principle “as high tech as necessary, as low tech as possible”, ERNI e.V. ensures that its systems can be installed with minimal use of machines. The plans on which they are based are inspired by the work of Hugh Piggott.
Tiffany Die Abiturientin Tiffany Düvier ist seit 2017 Teil des BNE-Projekts Düvier (Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung der Deutschen Unesco-Kommission) des Fritz-Greve-Gymnasiums Malchin. Ihr ist es wichtig, sich selbst im Zusammenhang mit der Umwelt besser kennenzulernen und herauszufinden, wie sie sich sinnvoll engagieren kann. Düvier interessiert sich in diesem Kontext vor allem für die Palmölgewinnung und die daraus resultierenden Folgen. Tiffany Düvier, who graduated from Fritz-Greve-Gymnasium Malchin this year, has been involved in her school’s BNE-project (Education for Sustainable Development) since 2017. She is interested in learning more about herself in relation to the environment and in finding out how she can get involved in a meaningful way. In this context, Düvier is especially interested in palm oil production and the resulting consequences.
Jan Edler & Seit 1997 arbeiten die Brüder Tim Edler und Jan Edler gemeinsam Tim Edler an der Schnittstelle von Kunst und Architektur. Im Jahr 2000 gründeten sie ihr Studio realities:united, das Kunst- und Hybridinstallationen im urbanen und architektonischen Kontext entwickelt und realisiert. Neben diversen Kunst-, Licht- und Medieninstallationen gehört zu ihren bekanntesten Projekten auch das Flussbad Berlin, ein Stadtentwicklungsvorhaben zur ökologischen Regeneration und Nutzbarmachung des Spreekanals im historischen Zentrum Berlins. Das Projekt gliedert den Spreekanal in drei Abschnitte unterschiedlicher Nutzung, Atmosphäre und Funktion: naturnaher Flusslauf, natürlicher Wasserfilter und Schwimmbereich. The brothers Tim Edler and Jan Edler have been working at the intersection of art and architecture since 1997. In 2000 they launched their studio realities:united to develop and produce art and hybrid installations in urban and architectural contexts. In addition to a range of art, light and media installations, their best-known projects include Flussbad Berlin, an urban development initiative for the ecological regeneration and utilisation of the Spree Canal in Berlin’s historic centre. The project divides the Spree Canal into three sections, each with its own different use, atmosphere and function: a river course in keeping with nature, a natural water filter and an area for swimming.
