Down to Earth Oktober 2019 gründete er gemeinsam mit Selina Kahle das Netzwerk Kultur und Agenda 2030, um nachhaltigkeitsinteressierte Kulturschaffende und Kreative zusammenbringen und einen kulturellen Austausch zur globalen Transformationsagenda der UN zu schaffen. Ralf Weiß has a PhD in Economic and Cultural Sciences. He has been working in the fields of sustainable economic research and sustainability communications for more than 20 years. Managing director of the innovation firm REFLEXIVO, he was previously employed as a Department Head by the Federal Environment Agency, where he was in charge of the coordination of the Environmental Innovation Programme and the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Consumption of the Federal German Government. In October 2019, he founded Netzwerk Kultur und Agenda 2030 (Network for Culture and the Agenda 2030) with Selina Kahle. The network aims to bring together cultural and creative workers who are interested in sustainability and to create an exchange of ideas on culture and the UN’s global transformation agenda.
Peter Peter Wilhelm arbeitet als Business Development Manager bei Wilhelm einem Berliner Hersteller von Ladestationen für Elektroautos. Gleichzeitig ist er Dozent für politische Theorie an der FU Berlin. Im Anschluss an diese sowie an seine früheren künstlerischen Tätigkeiten (Performance, Da-Da-Kabarett) stellen ökologische Fragestellungen für Wilhelm gleichermaßen rationale wie ästhetische Sachverhalte dar. So überzeugte ihn etwa das „schlanke“ Konzept der Ladestationen seines Arbeitgebers, da sie dadurch an Straßenlaternen montiert und angeschlossen werden können. Das Thema Elektromobilität darf für Wilhelm nicht getrennt von Gesamtkonzepten der Nachhaltigkeit gesehen werden. Der BusinessFokus wird dabei aus seiner Sicht nicht immer proklamierten Nachhaltigkeits-Ansprüchen gerecht. Informed by these occupations as well as his earlier artistic activities (performance, Da-Da cabaret), Wilhelm sees ecological issues as equally rational and aesthetic. For example, he bought into his employer’s charging stations because of their “slim” concept, which allows them to be mounted and connected to street lamps. For Wilhelm, the topic of electric mobility must not be seen separately from overall concepts of sustainability. In his view, the business focus does not always do justice to proclaimed sustainability claims.
