BOGOSHORTS al tablero / BOGOSHORTS to the board En cada edición, BOGOSHORTS al tablero ofrece espacios de formación a nuevos y futuros realizadores, así como a todos aquellos interesados en el cine y, sobre todo, en los formatos cortos. Ponemos en diálogo hitos y acontecimientos históricos con el momento actual. Esta vez lo hacemos a través de una búsqueda, de un viaje que nos permite ubicarnos para avanzar. El 2021, un año que prometió recuperar lo que perdimos en el 2020, tiempo en que pensamos volver a la normalidad; la que finalmente no ha llegado y quizás no regrese, pues el trayecto parece infinito. Pero en medio de la agobiante sensación de no saber dónde estamos, encontramos caminos, rutas que trazan un viaje que cambia por completo nuestras antiguas formas de pensar y de estar. En esta edición de BOGOSHORTS al tablero, los protagonistas serán aquellos que hacen cine desde otras miradas y, que a pesar de la centralización de nuestra industria, han logrado de manera excepcional sumar a nuestra cinematografía nuevas historias, retratos de la diversidad, esa que habita la cartografía nacional. También traemos un nuevo concepto, Cine clase D: disidencia, desobediencia y democracia, con las distintas manifestaciones artísticas que lo integran, la presencia de los espacios públicos que se expresan más allá de la denuncia, tocando fibras profundas de quienes vivimos esos territorios. Exploraremos películas que son un viaje, entendiendo el cine como una búsqueda que implica un tránsito que puede ser geográfico, temporal, mental, emocional, hacia el interior de nosotros mismos. El mismo viaje que hacemos por la historia del cine universal para encontrar cómo este es detonante de narrativas propias que también eligen el humor para contar lo devastador, lo injusto, lo miserable. O cómo a través de nuestras películas y de acciones concretas podemos transformar el mundo en el que vivimos y no solo afectarnos porque se desmorona. Estos múltiples abordajes trazan una sola cartografía que supone nuevas rutas hacia la luz, la esencia misma del cine. Este medio que nos llena de alegría, de esperanza, de sorpresa y de posibilidades infinitas de ser. Los Encuentros cercanos llegarán a diferentes sedes del festival, mientras que los paneles se realizarán en la Sala Capital de la Cinemateca de Bogotá, con acceso prioritario para acreditados del festival y con transmisión en vivo a través de la página de Facebook de @bogoshorts. 16

In each edition, BOGOSHORTS to the board offers academic spaces to new and future filmmakers, as well as to all those interested in cinema and, above all, in short formats. We put in dialogue milestones and historical events with the current moment. This time we do it through a search, a journey that allows us to locate ourselves in order to move forward. The year 2021, a year that promised to recover what we lost in 2020, a time in which we thought we would return to normality; the one that finally has not arrived and may not return, since the journey seems infinite. But in the midst of the overwhelming feeling of not knowing where we are, we find paths, routes that trace a journey that completely changes our old ways of thinking and being. In this edition of BOGOSHORTS to the board, the protagonists will be those who make films from other points of view and, despite the centralization of our industry, have exceptionally managed to add to our cinematography new stories, portraits of diversity, that which inhabits the national cartography. We also bring a new concept, Class D Films: dissidence, disobedience and democracy, with the different artistic manifestations that integrate it, the presence of public spaces that express themselves beyond denunciation, touching deep fibers of those of us who live in these territories. We will explore films that are a journey, understanding cinema as a search that implies a transit that can be geographical, temporal, mental, emotional, towards the interior of ourselves. The same journey we make through the history of universal cinema to find how it is a trigger for our own narratives that also choose humor to tell what is devastating, unjust, miserable. Or how through our films and concrete actions we can transform the world we live in and not only be affected because it is crumbling. These multiple approaches trace out a single cartography that represents new routes towards light, the very essence of cinema. This medium that fills us with joy, hope, surprise and infinite possibilities of being. The Close Encounters will take place at different venues of the festival, while the panels will be held at Sala Capital of Cinemateca de Bogotá, with priority access for accredited festival attendees and live streaming through the @bogoshorts Facebook page.
