STÚDENTAKORTIN STUDENT CARDS
All University of Iceland students can apply for student ID cards through Ugla. Two types of card are available:
BASIC: ID AND DISCOUNT CARD Allir stúdentar í HÍ geta sótt um Stúdentakort á Uglunni. Kortin eru gefin út í tveimur mismunandi útgáfum:
AUÐKENNIS- OG AFSLÁTTARKORT Kortið er ókeypis og veitir stúdentum fjölmarga afslætti, til dæmis af heitum mat og kaffi í Hámu, fjölbreyttri líkamsrækt, bifreiðaskoðun, deilihjólaleigu og mat og drykk á ýmsum veitingastöðum. Kortið er sent á lögheimili stúdenta eftir að sótt hefur verið um það á Uglu.
RAFRÆNT AÐGANGSKORT Kortið virkar eins og hefðbundið auðkennisog afsláttarkort en veitir auk þess aukinn aðgang að Háskólatorgi og einni annarri byggingu. Kortið kostar 1.500 kr. og er sótt á Þjónustuborðið á Háskólatorgi eftir að sótt hefur verið um það á Uglu. Stúdentar fá ekki nýtt kort árlega heldur er það endurnýjað með límmiða á Þjónustu borðinu á Háskólatorgi.
The basic student ID card is free and grants the cardholder discounts on all sorts of things, like coffee and hot meals at Háma, a wide variety of fitness classes and other activities, vehicle inspections, bike rentals, and food and drink at a number of restau rants. You can apply for the card on Ugla and it will be mailed to your legally registered address.
ENHANCED: ACCESS CARD For an annual fee of 1500 krónur, the enhanced card gives you all the same great perks as the basic card, plus grants you after-hours access to the University Center and one other campus building of your choice. You can apply for the card on Ugla and then pick it up at the Service Desk in the University Center. To see all the great discounts you’ll get with your student card, go to student.is/afslaettir (Icelandic) Please note that student cards are not replaced each year. To renew your card, visit the Service Desk at the beginning of the school year for a sticker.
