T
arus Morgan is thirty years old and is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee.His parents are Reverend and Mrs. Gerry Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Morgan. He attended Mississippi State where he got a degree in Marketing. He also has a master’s degree in economics from Southern University. He played football at both universities. He was the captain of his football team I his junior and senior year undergrad program. He was also a first team conference player. He is a 2nd generation McDonald’s owner operator (meaning his father has McDonald restaurants) and he purchased his first McDonald’s restaurant in Houston at age 26. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and a member of Higher Dimension Church. He is also a mentor with his fraternity in their Kappa League program and aspiring to find ways to help people pay for college. Morgan is also a member of the Houston Chapter of the National Black Mc Donald’s Operator’s Association. His latest accomplishment was receiving the I.C.O.N. Award (Inspire Creativity Over Negativity) at the 2012 Move Something Awards. Morgan has plans to expand his company’s holdings to include a total of five restaurants. His success has all been God given and he says he cannot take personal credit for it. He advises any one desiring to be successful to “keep God first, network, and respect people in any position because you never know who they will eventually become.” He is currently interested in golfing and avidly trying to master the game.
