ls Club Dubai were the Semi-Final opponents, the home leg was played on Saturday 23rd April over the beautiful Earth Course, where two very strong teams came head-to-head. Representing JGE were, Chris Wilmot, Ben Wills, Drew Foxcroft (Captain), David Bainbridge, Simon Howells, Bilbo Perot, Yash Majmudar, Carl Downham and March Schoombie. In an extremely tight contest, the home leg finished in a tie of 2 each. The second leg was played over the Els Club Dubai, where Mark Schoombie replaced Bilbo Perrot, again the tight contest saw both sides drawing 2 – 2, resulting in an overall result of 4 – 4. Simon Howells and Yash Majmudar were the two called upon to represent JGE in the Playoff, their opponents were Mike Mezei and Andrew Burmester. Unfortunately, Mike Mezei and Andrew Burmester played the first hole beautifully to clinch the win. Despite the loss the team have had an exceptional season and should be very proud of their performance this season. Many thanks to Drew Foxcroft for captaining the team and organizing everything for this year’s campaign.
